Oh yikes. I usually try to ignore my illness and toughen up. I didn't know food poisoning could last that long. Thank you for the warning, Bio. I'll keep it in the fridge overnight and if this continues over the next day or so, I'll freeze it. It's an expensive meal.

Try to freeze it if you can. Praying you get better soon. I lost 20 lbs with food poinsoning and didn't eat for a week

Munn,
I keep lots of Gatorade. I'm an active climber and do so every day. :) Glad it's good for food poisoning.

Hopefully stroganoff will save well as leftovers. I'd be happy to eat it in a couple of days when I improve. But I can't have it tonight and I don't want that psychological switch in my brain going off if I DO eat it.

Yea, drink fluids high in electrolytes such as sports drinks

Alrighty. I'll bring it in. Thank you for the opinions, friends. Since I'm shaking really bad and feel weak I'm going to have my sister pick me up. Don't want to take any chances, especially with the drowsiness and such.

Puck,
For sure, food won't stay. Sucks because I started stroganoff for myself to enjoy this morning, before all of this started. Drank some water, ate some eggs because I was hungry, and bam- hit me like a semi. Water tastes like yuck at the moment, so I've moved on to Gatorade, and THAT seems to stay, at least.

You don't need to know the source! Just go in, explain the symptoms, and let them go from there

Sometimes when I'm sick I shrug things off, take some over the counter cold medicine, and move on. Food poisoning sounds like it's worth bringing in. Do they NEED the source, or do I just let them know I'm pretty sure I have it and am unsure of where?

I feel like if you're not keeping down food, the contractions from throwing up+ having nothing in your system could cause weakness.

Sounds miserable either way :(

Mack,
I'm healthy otherwise, I guess I downplayed the danger a bit if it's notorious for being serious. I'll take it in. Thank you for letting me know, I've never had it before now, but I've seen family members with it and this is a perfect mirror image

Or maybe they can help with muscle weakness? I'm shaking like crazy. It's bad. I can drink which is why I'm not TOO concerned, but food is apparently a big no no right now.

Food poisoning sucks, and can be pretty dangerous. Better safe than sorry?
Versailles
06:39:17 Versa
Mack,
It should, yes. I suppose this is reason enough to go into urgent care, maybe they can make me a touch less miserable.

Puck,
Last time I had Covid, I was prescribed anti-nausea. I can ask if those will work, or if they want something more particular.

06:38:17 Mack
Oh nvm sorry

Came up crazy suddenly, too, which tells me it's not just a general illness. This wasn't a slow onset literally at all
FirstLightFarms
06:37:50 puck
At least they'd be able to maybe give you something for the nausea at the very least?

If your insurance covers it, maybe someone can write you a referral to a specialist to see if there's other options. I've come to the conclusion that this may be my best option at least.
Versailles

It's food poisoning and I'm like 99.99% certain, because of the vomiting, headaches, muscle weakness, etc. associated with it, all being present. I'm genuinely feeling miserable. But I have NO idea which restaurant would've been the source within the last 72 hours.
