Save and buy an EWE combo, it would still be less than the cost of two embryos. You can use the 'Search Horses' function to find sales or the Sales Forum.
Something I usually do to help brainstorm though is think of what happens after a character wakes up and then travel back to when the character does for better flow. Hope this helps!

Withdraw your horse from it's team. You will lose all team points for this horse. Please discuss this action with the team manager first.
Your horse may show 3 times per week. Shows run daily. Your horse and rider will gain valuable experience from showing. Select a discipline to show in, or scratch from tonight's show.
