Star Not sure? Could have been the IKC but it had a ton of internationals at it. English, German, Dutch, French too so I kinda doubt it was the IKC to be honest
i cannot stand people who willing give their money to a doodle greeder, they're just paying for the suffering of even more dogs who will have health issues.
No hate on doodles - they are not for me - but there have been so many come to our sessions that are awful because of lack of training. Poodles are super smart and can be bossy/stubborn, and often the Doodles get that from the poodle bloodlines. So people get these dogs thinking they are couch floofs, and they are not! They need proper training and activity to be good dogs
and standard poodles are actually such a neat breed already and you can give them a more conventional haircut than the one required for shows, so you can reap all the benefits of that awesome breed without having to mix something else into it.
Buckeye, we have gotten lucky with ours because they're somewhat of 'broken huskies' but they do have each other to keep entertained. However, having two easily has regretable moments lol
The guy down the road from me has a goldendoodle, I have a labradoodle. My lad is trained with what I need him to know (I work with horses) The goldendoodle is not trained, basically neglected unless he walks himself to my house I taught him sit, paw, lie down etc. and he picked them up super quick. He hasn't been around for a while though :/
Thunda, oh my that is a challenge. Last year I had a pup go to the Czech Republic. His owner asked me to begin some of the basic commands in Czech, which I did to the best of my ability. But I also sent her audio files of the commands in English so she could learn those to help him transition. Ultimately it is on the new owner to be able to use what the breeder uses and then transition the dog to new cues/language!
