Boulder, she runs around with Balto outside along with playing in the river. She has energy for days so I try to have her run before we train but at times her energy donÂ’t let up. Trying to make sure she has the basics down before we start doing jumps. Balto will hopefully start jumps next month as heÂ’s got the basics about completely trained in again. His sit is decent and his down needs more work but his heel and focus are closer to being excellent.
I love training! It' so cool working with different animals. Figuring out what personality and attitude they have - and what the best way to work with them is.
Finding what is their reward system. Laying out the training plan - what behaviors are wanted/not wanted.
Those behaviors sound like you have to make it boring - do the same thing over and over and over again until the animal finds it boring. Find a different reaction to reward as well.
Like if it's a doorbell or someone coming to the door. Have someone spend 20 minutes knocking at the door while you reward behaviors you want and ignoring/correcting (depending on the training system) the unwanted behaviors.
Knowing the work duration of the animal is crucial - and giving them outlets to have fun/get energy out beforehand

I have a pit. She is actually a trained service dog and she never leaves my side, very protective of me and the kiddos and thinks my guinea pigs are her puppies... Oh and there's a wild rabbit under my porch and they play and groom each other 😂
Eivor, my mum fears them due to her past dog who was a pit attacking her friend although IÂ’m sure thereÂ’s more to the story but thatÂ’s all I know. I worked with pits and they just wanna please you and be loved. I have nothing against them just my mum.
If you have Dapple Blend Grain, you can feed it to your horse and their coat will dapple.

Showing in the special weekly shows doesn't count against your horse's weekly regular show count.
