| It's nice to be on the Behind-the-Scenes end (and not have to deal with the Peoples) But it's pulling teeth to get anyone on the board/authority to give me basics (like a bio and pic!) Learning how 'old' the membership is - it was a big deal to switch to disco for our quarterly video meetings - but we definitely don't use it for communicating, updating or sharing pertinent information. That's still through FB. and getting to the point where I'm going to have to start calling people out through pms. If the Board members won't do stuff, then why would the Membership be bothered? One of our amazing chapter presidents does everything for her club (and I don't know how she puts up with it). She finds parades, coordinates them, sets up carpooling and brings a half dozen horses for people to borrow, does a write-up/social media post with pictures, and submits points for everyone involved. More times than not she can't get anyone to offer up any help (like be on scooper duty). It's all spidey finger pointing meme. I live 3000 miles away otherwise I'd be there in a heartbeat to groom for several horses/rider and get myself ready. - sigh |

| Wow. What a situation. Sounds like you guys will be able to pull together and make it a success though! Always nice being able to contribute, without having to make any large commitments though lol. Good thing you have folks that care, including yourself! ♡ |

| I'm learning about SEO (and keyword phrases) Plugins CMSes Currently fighting with trying to put an interactive chart on to the website so members can track their Point Standings And I need to build a sitemap But the coolest thing is when you look up the key identifying factor of our group (say Quarter Horse) - we are the second link on Google - below Wiki (our major competitor assoc. isn't even on the first page!) |

| @Green - probably. She was doing like four major board jobs and the president of her own large chapter. I'm just grateful that I can help without taking on a huge responsibility. I get to make Forms and Spreadsheets and Documents and Presentations - all the super-duper fun stuff! I'm completely revamping the website - taking it down to bare bones and working it back up. Giving me a Huge Appreciation to Eve with what she does with HEE. She has total control and total knowledge - I'm working under a Board (for approval) and don't have all the information so I either have to wait for someone to /finally/ get back to me or BS writing. I don't have to do a ton of coding which is wonderful, but I have learned a bit of formatting and code work. |

| Had a Meeting of the Minds tonight with other board members of the association I'm on - It's basically come down to the fact previous leadership had taken on almost every role and then after 9 months, silently quit. Come to find out - that all the information and data they had stored, is basically unusable for the membership (and year end awards to be given out at the banquet in 6 weeks). The panic is just starting to sink in for half the Board (the only ones who actively care about the Assoc.) |
