Makes sense. I am probably just overthinking it. XD

Ok hopping into shower just send me a message if you like.

Maybe. Just depends on temps. You want a cooler side, but not too cool. The enclosure cannot all be the same temp. I find they enjoy moving from hot to cold as they need.
Or you can be like one of my babies Ingrid.
And lay on the cold side after you eat 🤡

Thanks so much trigger! So if it was a closed top enclosure you would do the two DHPs on the back and the basking in the front?

Link would help right

Ignore my absolute not to scale piss poor drawing skills, this is kinda how I would do it.
Projectors together and Basking underneath or on top depending on enclosure setup.
I like to have like, some kind of platform. I have found mine enjoy basking at different distances from the bulb.
Â…. My Kingsnake thinks he can eat the bulb.

That is always the question.
Let me draw the answer be right back

One side does need to be warmer than the other.
I recommend joining Not Just a Pet Rock (Python regius) and asking questions about enclosure setup, feeding, etc.
They to me have the most current info, just be aware that they are blunt and do not really beat around the bush. I like that personally.
I have bred and owned ball pythons and am always a message away too

Ah makes sense. Any tips on how to arrange those bulbs?
Wraithcry Farm
07:04:38 Trigger 🐾
During the day, potentially. At night when you shut off the basking bulb turn on a deep heat projector
So 2 deep heat projectors and 1 basking bulb.
Hummingbird Meadows
07:03:33 Hummer
So you would do one basking bulb and one deep heat projector?
Wraithcry Farm
07:02:05 Trigger 🐾
So I would do two-
If the enclosures temps are way too high during the day with the basking bulb shut off one of those Deep Heat Projectors.

Yeah, like I said my house gets down to 65 at night so that is my biggest concern.
Wraithcry Farm
07:00:28 Trigger 🐾
For a 4x2x2 the max I have put on is two, and that was in the winter.
I temp control my reptile room- it stays between 75-80 always. So I do not need as much heat in the enclosures as someone without that would
Hummingbird Meadows
06:58:36 Hummer
Well, bulb and deep heat projector it is then. XD I just hope I don't have to put 5 of them in the enclosure. =/
Wraithcry Farm
06:57:20 Trigger 🐾
Well, for the mild side they sometimes have not produced adequate heat
And on the severe side I have had several catch fire.
I do not recommend them due to the issues I have had with them.
I have heated 8 foot enclosures with Deep Heat Projectors with no issues getting the right temps. It all comes down to amount of bulbs and the bulbs wattage
Hummingbird Meadows
06:56:25 Hummer
Yup, I would get that for measuring surface temps and then one thermometers for each side.

You can always do it and try it out so see if it works good enough. I recommend getting a laser thermometer if you don't have one already those things are awesome then you can check the temp through the entire enclosure

Do you think a DHP is good for ambient temperature?
