If he throws up anymore I would suggest not feeding him anymore and see how he does. His stomach might just need a break for a little bit and then slowly introduce again like you were |

Dash and Duchess |
Oh wow she's amazing Trish!! I'll be staking her in my RID side lol 👀 |
Glacier Bay Cove |
Yes keep on working on transitioning him, and keep us posted on how he is doing, Hummer |
Hummingbird Meadows |
@Glacier, that is my plan. He still wants to eat which is promising. He had a churu and some wet food. Have to wait and see if he throws it up. |
Glacier Bay Cove |
Make sure he has plenty of water to drink, and if he doesn't improve tomorrow, take him to the vet |
Hummingbird Meadows |
I was able to fish it out of the trash tonight so I can try transitioning him again, but I am just worried because I can tell he doesn't feel well. |
Glacier Bay Cove |
Oh, call the vet and see if they can give you a refill on the prescription cat food |
Hummingbird Meadows |
@Ally, I was slowly introducing him to it until a couple days ago when my Mom threw the old stuff away. The old stuff is expensive too because it is a perscription. |
MakeEm Fancy |
Did you slowly introduce the food or just give it to him all at once? Some cats have to be slowly introduced so they dont throw it up and have upset stomachs. |
Hummingbird Meadows |
@Glacier, that was my goal, but my Mom saw I bought a new bag of food and threw away the old stuff without consulting me. =/ |
Glacier Bay Cove |
If you are very worried about him, take him and the new food to the vet and see what he says about it |
Glacier Bay Cove |
My opinion is that you gave him too much at once, rather then using a spoonful to start with, and then slowly adding more of the new food to his bowl, letting him get used to eating the new food while slowly decreasing the old food |
