I'm sorry that they're being difficult, Is there not an independent midwife anywhere around you? I had the first half of my prenatal care done at a local Obgyn office but the later half was done by an independent midwife. The only reason I went to a hospital was because of pregnancy complications during labor. If not I'll would definitely look into what your rights and what their policies are
