There has been some confusion about what is and isn't allowed for auctions, so I'm posting a list of rules that keep things fair for both sellers and bidders. If you have any questions, please refer them to a moderator. 1. No private bids or anonymous bids of any kind. 2. Buy now amounts must be posted at the start of an auction so that all potential bidders have the same opportunity to offer the buy now amount. 3. If you set an end time, the auction must end at that time. You can use the forum time stamp to see who had the last bid before the end. 4. Bids made with anything other than EBs (horses, straws, art, etc.) need to be assigned a value in EBs so that other bidders can counter. This value should be based on realistic pricing and should be determined by the seller. 5. Only bid if you can honor the bid. Once you have made a bid, you are obligated to carry through with it. If you intend on making payments, only bid an amount that you can pay off in a reasonable amount of time. Be sure to ask the seller if s/he will allow payments. 6. Members may not bid for other members.
7. Once the horse is entered into an auction you may NOT remove it under any circumstances, the only exception is if the horse gets sold. Please think twice before entering your horse in an auction, once it gets a bid - it must be sold to the highest bidder.

I have looked for horses in auctions, and is it acceptable if the person running the auction bids on his/her own horse to set the bid amount at the first bid amount to then makes the second bid amount only available?

Someone can bid on their own horse. Someone may have accidentally put a horse in auction that they didn't mean to so they bid on it to try and get it back as it can't be removed from auction once it starts.

Thank you for clearing that up for me!
I love how this is more than a horse game but a wonderful community of players that are so nice and helpful.

Is there a cool-down time after your auction is completed? I want to set up another auction but the auction home is not giving me the fill-out info to do so.

Yep you have to wait 48 hrs after your last auction ended.

My auction ended a week or so ago, and I just got a game message saying that I should "Finish auction and get all that figured out." What does that mean and How do I do it?
