Pretty Pony Pageant August Show Class List ∴ Realistic Classes ∴ Cross Country Senior Party Vaulting Pony Club
⚜ ∴ Theme Classes ∴ 🌻 Flower Festival 🌸 Twinning! The Cross Country, Senior Party, Vaulting and Pony Club classes will be judged by an anonymous judges panel! (remember, if you are chosen for this show's judges panel - you cannot enter a horse in these classes) Cross Country Where the Bravery, Courage, and Heart of the horse are truly tested as they must overcome challenging natural obstacles Entry Must Include: ‣ Adult Horse/Pony Tack Requirements: ‣ A Bridle ‣ A Jump Saddle Background Requirements: ‣ Background relating to Cross Country Jumping The time starts ticking as soon as you clear the start box - the first fence is a simple log jump, but that's easy. It's the Coffin Jump that really has you worried - but an encouraging squeeze and a "You Got This" and the ditch jump is behind you. Now time to focus as you come through the water combination - an easy log jump, to a bank, WHOA - that's a steep drop down, but there's no turning back. Splash and kick on - you've cleared it and now galloping away. That table was wider than you are tall! Is that the finish line in sight? And you made it in Optimal Time! Congratulations! Senior Party You heard right! It's all about the aged horses here! It's a retirement party for all those who have given us their best life. They have so much left to live - but deserve an extra special day to celebrate just how special they truly are. Bring your mature horses to this party! Entry Must Include: ‣ Adult Horse/Pony - Must be 17 or Older Tack Requirements: ‣ Unicorn Horn, Antlers, Top Hat, or Bunny Ears Decor Requirements: ‣ At least One (1) Decor Item Background Requirements: ‣ Background relating to your Senior Party Theme When you walk into the barn, it's their nicker that you don't hear. Heart racing, you head to their stall and see the old horse dozing in the sun. A sigh of relief escapes your lips as you take a moment to watch the beloved senior resting.
When did their muzzle turn grey, and their eyes become so sunken, maybe a few more flakes of hay and an extra scoop of grain will fill out their ribs. You can't even bring yourself to think of the near future where one day, they won't be in the barn. To put off that grief - you instead decide to celebrate their life and all their accomplishments with a PARTY! Vaulting Show off your balancing skills as you preform gymnastic maneuvers on a moving horse! Entry Must Include: ‣ Adult Horse/Pony Tack Requirements: ‣ Surcingle ‣ Caveson ‣ Pad Background Requirements: ‣ Arena Background (not discipline specific) Running next to the cantering horse, you gracefully step in time and grab the surcingle handle. Lifting yourself up from the ground and softly landing on the horse's back. Matching the rhythm of the horse's movement, you rise up to your feet and hold the position around the ring. A deep breath and you prepare for the handspring dismount off the horse's rump. Pony Club You must be under 14.2HH to be allowed in this CLUB! Entry Must Include: ‣ Adult Pony Breed Restrictions: ‣ Sport Ponies only Tack Requirements: ‣ At least Two (2) Tack Items Excludes items from the 'Extras' Section Background Requirements: ‣ Background relating to your Pony Club Theme This is for the Pony Lovers! Just because we're small doesn't mean we're not mighty! Whether you're headed to Pony Finals to kick butt, or heading down the trail pulling a carriage - it's all Ponies All the Time! Congratulations to all the Pony Clubbers at Pony Club Festival & those at Pony Finals! - - - • You may use as many items as you want! • Get Creative! Many tack and decor items can be used multiple ways! • It is highly encouraged to be creative and think outside the box - you don't have to use traditional tack always, as long as it can be reasoned, it will be accepted. • It is not required to be extravagant - if you only have an item or two, go for it! Pretty Pony Pageant September Show Class List ∴ Realistic Classes ∴ Dressage Color of the Rainbow Turn Out Dapper Dapples
⚜ ∴ Theme Classes ∴ 🍁 Autumn Ride 🍂 Of A Feather 🦆 The Dressage, Color of the Rainbow, Turn Out and Dapper Dapples classes will be judged by an anonymous judges panel! (remember, if you are chosen for this show's judges panel - you cannot enter a horse in these classes) Dressage Where the Precision, Dedication, Elegance, and Perfection of Horse & Rider are Tested as they Dance from A to C Entry Must Include: ‣ Adult Horse/Pony Tack Requirements: ‣ A Bridle ‣ A Dressage -OR- Baroque Saddle Background Requirements: ‣ Dressage Court or Arena Background Trotting down the centerline, you halt at X and salute the judge. Wait, what comes next? Deep breath and it all comes rushing back to you. You pick up the working trot and circle at A. An extended trot across the diagonal. You transition to the canter and perform the shallow serpentine down the long side. The free walk comes next and you repeat the test in the opposite direction. You find yourself back at X saluting the judge and give your horse a big pat on the neck for a job well done. Color of the Rainbow Dress up your horse in One or All of the Available HEE Colors!
Black, Brown, Coral, Dark Green, Gold, Grey, Magenta, Maroon, Mint, Navy, Olive, Orange, Pink, Plum, Purple, Red, Royal Blue, Sky Blue, White, and Yellow Entry Must Include: ‣ Adult - OR- Foal Horse/Pony Tack Requirements: ‣ At least Two (2) Color Matching Items (Or all 20 available colors) Background Requirements: ‣ Background relating to your Color of the Rainbow Theme » Must use either One Color or All of the Colors! Whether you have a Favorite Color (or your horse does!) or one that you think looks great with your pony - dress them up and show them off! But what to do when you can't pick just one? Pick them all! Go all out in Rainbow Style! Turn Out Let your horse stretch their legs out in the paddock or pasture! Some horses like to go out with friends and others spend the time grazing by themselves. Some like to frolic in the fields and some are stuck looking longingly over the fence while they're stuck in the dry lot. Dapper Dapples The signs of good nutrition, good grooming, or some genetic phenomenon - a horse with dapples surely turns heads! Entry Must Include: ‣ Adult Pony ‣ MUST have Dapples! Natural or Grain Fed Tack Requirements: ‣ At least Two (2) Tack Items Excludes items from the 'Extras' Section Background Requirements: ‣ Background relating to your Dapper Dapples Theme Those beautiful spots across a horse's coat that show lighter and darker versions of the overall color. Sometimes they are round and near perfect across the horse's body and sometimes they are star shaped or appearing scattered. Let's see your gorgeous horse or pony strutting their pattern out on the show ring floor! - - - • You may use as many items as you want! • Get Creative! Question: when the rules say "excludes items from the Extras secrion" does that mean those items are excluded from counting as the listed tack requirement; or does it mean they are excluded from use altogether for that class? |
