How likely are Wild WWW mares to be good? July 9, 2025 08:24 PM

I'm just curious what the average is for good training/ production for wild WWW mares? And if my mare is a bad trainer/ producer will that make her worthless/ not be as popular? I knows she 1 of 3 Grey WWW AA but I'm so nervous for her to debut and I just want to prepare myself for a flop. 😅
Thanks 🙌

To the best of my knowledge, unfortunately, wild WWW/WWEs are often terrible producers. They may train strong (4-6 up) but they don't often hit LBs or throw consistently good foals.

I did a search and found this girl who, although she's decently high on the PONLB, her production history is mostly WEE/EEEs...

However! I also found this girl who did really well

So maybe it's closer to 50/50 rather than all being bad? (I looked up Wild WWW mares on the LBs)

I can't speak on averages, but I'll share my experience with the couple of wild WWWs I have! Overall, I have noticed that compared to bred WWWs, their training seems to be a little all over the place and not a single one of mine have debuted where I expected them to on the LBs.
.
Eureka - Debuted on the lower half of the PONLB, then promptly shot up like 40 places and switched her strength from int to mv.
Ruby - Up 3 wk7 and levelled in both XC and J, then produced a WWW... and debuted non-LB. She has since hopped on at #95TBLB.
Siren - Produced a WWW, went all up wk11 and debuted #98AALB.
Willow - Yet another wild WWW who has always produced well enough, but failed to make it onto the AALB.
.
So basically you won't know where she'll land until she's actually debuted, and even then she might fluctuate a bunch XP
I'll also give fair warning that the brood/embryo market for AAs is not so good. I haven't had any interest in my grey AA girl's embs even when she was the only WWW grey, and I've been getting top AALB embryos for much cheaper than other breeds.

I've captured two WWW and they have both been less than stellar.
Sciona was svenned/med her first three goals and didn't land on a single LB so she was thrown to my color/for fun herd.
Kissenna was also svenned/itemed and she debuted #88 this month.
Both were caught with +20 maps; Kissenna is even WWW-W so I was hoping the +20 was really gonna push her into something good so I was disappointed with being low 80s.

To those who have give input: Does this seem to apply to giveaway WWW mares as well?

I'm not sure about averages, but one little EWW mare changed my stables luck and and produced a LB daughter :) all my shiny horses are her descendants.
But its all a gamble essentially

Okay, this is great information! I was thinking it was about 30/70 for actually decent production.
I'm hoping she gives me at least one or two EWW+ mares, one can hope lol 😆
Thank you <3

I think wilds don't really do that well production or leaderboard wise. HOWEVER, back in 2020 ish (the year when the W was introduced), Corazon caught a WWW Dunkin (named Meliodas) who debued #1 WBLB. That's for a stallion though, not a mare.

My mare goes great, she's wild. She was sitting #22 on the LB but unfortunately I never have the ebs to breed her so she usually just hangs out unless I have the ebs lol! Link

This mare was a WWW wild (giveaway) mare that had a crap record before I bought her for cheap at auction, and then ended up having a pretty epic record and foaling Will 'O Wish, who dominated the RIDLB his whole career and hit hightest on the ABLB of all RID studs, I think - besides maybe Ferd?.. anyways, you girl may not wind up super stellar herself, but there's always the chance she could pop out something epic :)
