So you know that annoying plant that always gets stuck in your horses mane or tail in the pastures? The notorious little prickly ball known as a bur?

Well...

I kind of got a dozen of them stuck in my hair... and my hair is not short.

.

So here's a little tip for anyone who finds themselves in this sad situation:

.

1) You aren't going to get them out yourself so DO NOT try.

.

2) Everything you do makes it worse so seriosuly, follow tip #1

.

3) WEAR A LONG SLEEVE SHIRT AND GLOVES WHEN YOU TRY TO GET THEM OUT (I'm dedicating my day to getting a million invisible slivers out of my shoulders and hands)

.

4) Use baby oil. Seriously. There's pretty much no other way.

.

5) To prevent yourself from taking a million showers to get the baby oil out of your hair... use dawn dish soap.

.

6) Never make the same mistake again.

.

7) If you do get slivers in the process, you're doomed, sorry. (Google doesn't know how to help you either).

.

Anyway... I learned all of these lessons the hard way so please enjoy my words of wisdom as I spend the rest of my day banging my head against a wall. ;)

Do you have anything gentler than duct tape that works?

Gentle tape didn't really seem to work too well... good news is I survived and am now mostly sliver free. Just working on getting the baby oil out of my super greasy hair now ;)
