It was originally my mare that I had bought a month or two prior to selling her. I bred her while she was in my custody then sold her and the new buyer is the one asking me to FR the foal lol

No problem :)

All stud and mare owners can do is set a minimum requirement for ratings and politely request in the horse's remarks that certain foals be FRed. And if they're that worried about it, they can offer buybacks for low rated foals

Is it alright to pm you then ven? Lol it's getting a little excessive.

I'd honestly say no Olive as YOU spent money to breed and it is YOUR foal. Not theirs.

Royoke- you spent the ebs, it's your foal to do as you like with. You can block the person.

If someone is demanding you FR your foals, PM a mod and we can help you out. That's against the rules.

My goodness I keep getting pmed about fRing one of my goals I bred because I sold the mother and the buyer doesn't want a PPP foal from the mare to be alive. Genuinely am I wrong for not wanting to FR a foal I spent 9k to breed? Lmao

So I recently bought a new (to me) truck, I've had it about a month now, and like any reasonable person I took it to my mechanic to get it looked over and do some high priority fixes.

Back Story:
I got a hell of a deal on it, 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 with a 5.7L Hemi, high mileage but excellent body condition and was a a near perfect fit for my situation. Now as a high mileage workhorse that it is, it did come with problems, some of which were rather serious (boyfriend wanted to really push it to it's limits on the highway and we hit a DEATH wobble that I shit you not wanted to throw us off the highway, no one got hurt and there was no damages). The seller did mention some vibrations at high speeds, but man did he downplay how bad it was. We took it to Dear BF's Grandpa to check it out since we were going to have him look at it anyway.

Grandpa did quite a bit of poking around and checking out the front end which was the problem area for sure. Gave me the diagnosis of a bad wheel bearing on one side and a tie rod that could use a little work on the opposite side. All's good, I call my mechanic to set up a day to bring the truck down and tell him about the the front end needing attention when I bring it in. No Problem.

Day comes to drop the truck off, drop it off the night before so they have it the full day, they do a bunch of work: brakes were frozen, tires got replaced (brought my own), got the engine codes checked, etc.

I am assured the Death Wobble is gone, but they did not fix the Wheel Bearing... Said it wasn't actually bad. It is now 2(?) weeks later and my wheel chirps like a Goddam bird when I make turns. The Wheel Bearing is obviously bad if it squeals like a rickety hamster wheel when I make the slowest gentlest turns I've ever made babying this truck, but come-on, I asked for a specific fix because it needs that specific fix. I don't really care that it might have saved me money then when it's going to cost me a shitload more if the damn wheel comes off while I'm driving.

Did he just not take me seriously as a small petite female that I am? Do I not have enough say in what happens to the vehicle that I own??? It's my truck and I wanted it fixed dammit.

I'd find a new mechanic. It took me a while to find mine now. Never listen to them if they say 'it doesn't need to be fixed' when clearly it does.

My family has used this mechanic for 20 or so years with this past year seeming to have the first of a few of complaints so far. We've been wondering if it's maybe a new guy working at the shop or if the owner/Head Mechanic is just getting sloppy now...

Yeah I'd move. I had a garbage mechanic before that constantly lied about things my truck needed in order to stay safe. I'm at a new mechanic now that drinks his respect women juice and not only is the service better, but it's cheaper and I'm genuinely friendly with the guys that work there. 20 years of loyalty has to work both ways and that mechanic isn't showing it to you, so you don't owe it to him.

Get a new mechanic. The one you went to didn't listen to what you wanted done, and it could have gotten you seriously hurt or killed if the wheel came off. I'm very very picky on who I take my car to. I had to recently yell at a dealership mechanic who didn't listen to me when I said check my back tail break light for either a short or burned out bulb. They said the check break light wasn't on so they didn't bother checking. But that was more due to the person taking the work order down. They got everything else taken care of.
