Not a bug, but a feature! You have something unique that very few, if any, artists have, and it's CLEARLY working for your art. You produce gorgeous work ♡

Thank you guys. It sincerely means the world to me to have such a kind and supportive group who has my back while I learn to navigate this new trouble. It sounds like, despite me seeing it as a disability, people are finding it to be the true "charm" to my work that gives it life and a unique feel.
.
I'm beginning to realize that I don't need to have "normal" vision. I don't have to wink. The true way I see my art, using both my eyes, disability or not, is just the way people want it. <3

Exactly this. Your work is so beautiful Versa. I can only imagine your frustration but it has always looked stunning to me. Nothing strange or out of place. Always perfectly lovely. <3

Exactly, you don't need to change anything about yourself. We love you just the way you are. <33 :)

Don't hate your art. It's still a reflection of your technical skills, of your development over time and of you as an individual. When I look at my old pictures: okay, yes, they're somewhat cringy, but the improvement from piece to piece is insane and I'm proud of that.

Color perception is relative, there's no such thing as normal vision. I work as a web designer and do a lot of web-to-print stuff. Your art will always look different depending on the screen, the settings, the printer, the paper and even the person who looks at it. One of my eyes perceives colors as warmer than the other. There is a tribe in Africa where children don't learn what "blue" is - for them, the sky is green (search for "The Himba and the hidden colors of the world" if you want to read more about that). And have you ever heard of tetrachromacy? There are women who are able to perceive more color distinctions than the average person, just the opposite of being color blind. You can't share your own colors with other people - they have their own and how they look is one of the secrets we will never be able to uncover.

By the way, thanks for teaching me something new about the topic - I didn't know that color blindness in only one eye is possible. May I ask if your doctor said something about where it might come from?

Genetically it is extremely rare, especially in females. Especially since neither of my parents tested positive for it. More than likely in my case, it is from the long string of infections that eye has been getting. These started in my childhood and continued into my adult years, and although they've been successfully treated every time, it's entirely possible they've been messing with other things like colour vision.
.
She also stated that there has been very light research into colourblindness from Covid, as it HAS caused regular blindness in other individuals, I think she said popped blood vessels? Something along those lines. However, this is not the cause for me and is just an interesting fact. The shift would have been very immediate instead of a slow shift that I didn't notice.

Relatable. I am also colorblind and have always hesitated to do painting or digital art mostly because of it. Supposedly it's complete colorblindness as part of the condition I have (achromatopsia) but I can distinguish some.
I do think your art looks very cool just as others have said. :)
