I've been fucking with this specific piece of code on and off for a few weeks now and I finally got it to work today. It makes my chatbox and quests stick to my page so it follows as I scroll. Obviously optimized for desktop (pictured) but it works decently on mobile as well.

I'm so happy to have finally figured this out :)
