So IÂ’ve been looking around for a sheepskin girth cover for my leather girth as my horse has sensitive skin. Well the problem is, my girth is shaped differently. I have the prestige Dressage girth (yes thatÂ’s what itÂ’s called). ItÂ’s not atomical but it is wider in the middle. So my question is what girth covers do you guys like?

I am also looking for options on the thin line trifecta half Pad (with the sheepskin). I currently have the regular thin line but I love the sheepskin look and donÂ’t want to change the fit of my saddle, does anyoneÂ’s have experience with this half Pad? Is it durable and worth the money?

Maybe Mattes? I don't know if they sell just the covers -- my dressage girth from them is fleece but you can remove the fleece to clean it. Not sure about riding without the fleece though.

As far as the halfpads, I, again, use Mattes - though both of my current horses do not need them. Not bashing you, but what do you use the halfpad for if not for changing the fit of your saddle? Serious question, just trying to help :)

I have looked into the matttes girth covers but they donÂ’t look like the come in the right shape (or maybe I havenÂ’t found them yet)

As for half Pad, The thin line halfpads are known for absorbing some of the bounce from the rider and provides a bit more comfort for the horse, I just like the traditional sheepskin half Pad look which is why IÂ’ve asked about them :)

I have a Total Saddle Fit sheepskin half pad and it's the best thing ever. My horse is a very sensitive one and he really gets comfortable with the pad. I bought the one with shins to adjust where I need. I would recommend it :D

I use the HKM leather girth with removable lambswool, its shaped and is wider in the middle. I love it. Used on a horse with a long back, that all other girths used, the saddle slid back, and now using it on my young horse, that has soft skin, when I got him, he had girth galls, they have gone, since.

I have only ever used sheepskin halfpads if my saddle fitter said they were required. I think anyone of them is good as long as they are real and not synthetic.
