I'm so sorry to hear. Bravecto is 3 months and Simparica lasts monthly.

It's what we strongly recommend at the clinic I work at.

Advantage multi isn't a bad brand either.

Heya all!

IÂ’ve just found out that I have attained the grades needed to go on an international year this September, so IÂ’m beyond excited. IÂ’m due to be attending the University of Guelph near Toronto in Canada for at least the Fall semester. Modules are still provisional, but IÂ’m looking to have regular riding lessons & potentially a 30 credit horse management module which would mean a further 6 hours a week outside on the yard.

ThatÂ’s all fine, except in winter the area *can* get down to -35 degrees C (-31F), and IÂ’m coming from the comparably very tepid UK. xD Does anyone has any recommendations at all on what to wear?? IÂ’m at a total loss, so any tips for dressing simultaneously for extreme cold + getting hot exercising with horses + if possible not being rendered totally immobile by padding would be massively helpful. xD

Thank you!!

Definitely invest in some warm waterproof boots, insulated riding gloves, and one of these suckers:

Insulated bibs. I'm from NY where we can get -50F or lower if it has windchill. These you'll want, or at least some kind of GOOD insulated bibs. You can wear your riding clothes under them and still be toasty.

Thermal wear will be your friend, also ski jackets are nice and helpful as well. For riding buy some winter riding gloves and hot shots (heat warmers to put in your gloves). The only bad months though are December, January and February where there is a higher chance of dropping to -35 with the wind chill

Find something that will cover your nose and lower face. Seriously. You won't think of this until you are out in the winds and freezing-butt-cold, but your nose will want to fall off if it's not covered.

Thank you very very much everyone! <3 I have some insulated riding boots already, and although theyÂ’re slightly falling to bits IÂ’ll see how far I can push them, as IÂ’m not there forever. But those dungarees look absolutely perfect for what IÂ’ll need, and I hadnÂ’t thought of the headband type ideas either. Gloves are gonna be a must for me as well.

Thank you! <3
