Since he has no tracked training, would I be looking at the mare's week 4 or week 7?

You want a mare that's got tracked training and is up in those three stats. An EEW probably would be more likely to be that, but stat weaknesses can pop up anywhere xD

How would I go about matching this straw? I see he's weak in int, scp, and spd but has no tracked training, so what discipline should help him out that's WEE (any combo)?

Horses nose is turning pink? September 8, 2024 08:41 AM

So my horse is a paint edit: sorry technically a pinto and his nose is like part pink and part black, but recently the black bit has gotten some pink spots. It's also happened under his chin as well. He didn't get scabs or wounds or anything, his skin just got flaky and when it came off it was pink? I'm not really worried about it but has anyone heard of this happening before

You might want to look into vitiligo. I have heard of it causing pink spots on the muzzle and around eyes - especially on pinto horses.

I always thought that if they had it it would show up around 3 or 4? Maybe I'm wrong though. He's probably nearing 8 now so I thought he was too old.

Maybe that has pink skin under it? Like somehow it's black hairs but has pink skin under it, making it sunburnt?

No it's definitely just skin, here are some
pics of his nose when it was flaky and then after the dead skin came off and it was pink

Maybe it's fungus then? What do you mean by when it came off it was pink? Like underneath was pink?

I thought his skin was dry looking and I was going to buy some baby oil or Vaseline for it the next day, but the next day i came back and there were pink spots there instead of the dry skin.
I don't think its a fungus, im pretty sure its harmless and my trainer agrees.
The vet is coming out for unrelated reasons though so if i get a chance ill ask him then

I've had this happen with my pinto and I just left it and she's all good now.The last time the vet was out she checked it and said noting serious.

Sunburn? Perhaps. My new draft boy peels like that when he gets sunburned on his white nose.
