Cowboy magic detangler is a go to item as well

Strongly agree here!!

I also agree with LRN. Baby shampoo and detangler works like magic.

Another great product is Showsheen show ring shine. It detangles and gives the hair an extra shine. You can also use it com their coats to make it shine too.

Show shee show ring shine is a great tool. Like Emerald said, you can also put it on their coats, but BE CAREFUL. It will make the coats extremely slick, meaning your saddle will slide around a lot. If your halter class is before a riding class, I would just put it on their legs and maybe neck (and obviously mane and tail)

i love cowboy magic detangler! Also To make it thicker try not to braid to tight and don't brush it out with a mane and tail brush use a hard brush!

Cowboy Magic is a godsend! Pro tip though...don't try it on your own hair. Learned that the hardway, results NOT duplicated in people unless you like greasy hair!

ETA - whoops, didn't notice before replying this topic is a few weeks old.
