I was getting upset at myself for being eraser happy with a sketch I was working on. Then it ended up turning out even better than I thought it would because of the extra work I put into it. I thought how that was a decent metaphor for some relationships, so I wrote about it, and I'm pretty proud of myself.

Ending, Erasing, Rending, Breaking
Dissonance prevailing over all
Being, Recoiling, Freezing, Crying
So swift the swipe that ends the beauty
Starting, Stopping, Amending, Sighing
Giving the past my humble duty
Seeing, Appealing, Memorizing
Piecing the order in senseless things
Attempting, Retrying, Realizing
New restoration great glory brings
Hoping, Arising, Soaring, Flying
Her virgin awe the canvas reclaims
Tumbling, Falling, Defending, Dying
Guarding it even as comes the flames
Struggling, Flailing, Seething, Striving
Convinced these long hours were passed in vain
Torquing, Twisting, Protesting, Driving
Convinced to make them not once again
Beginning, Shaping, Crafting, Making

Living, Surviving, Laughing, Aching
I know it not, but I love them all
