These little eggs should be hatching soon! Would love to see more interaction before they do! :)

Sadly, I must announce that mama bluebird has abandoned her first nest after the male failed to feed her enough and she had to feed herself too frequently, resulting in an incubation fail. At first I was worried that one of the outdoor cats next to me caught her, but thankfully she's safe and sound! She's currently scouting out the nest box a second time and waiting for her eggs to disappear to reuse the nest.

Since names sadly can't be handed out to these babies, I'm going to offer 100k to our two winners! Opal had FIVE eggs in her first nest! ZeroZero and Imperial Warmbloods guessed correctly. Congrats!

NEVER mess with a wild bird nest! It is ONLY legal to clear out a birdhouse nest when it is clearly abandoned and dead.

DO NOT keep the eggs, feathers, or any other part. It is illegal and if you're caught, you could pay really hefty fines. These eggs were tossed into the local forest to feed some snakes and other critters.

Wow, beautiful. I hope she finds a great second guy and has some healthy chicks.
