Ex: That one being black rabicano vs a bay? https://horseeden.com/horse.php?id=16587231
It says the original color on the horse page.

:) I know it says the color on the page, but how does it decide which color to use?

The color of the foal is whatever it would have been without chimera when you bred it. Then on top of that chimera is added. You can tell Black Rabicano is the base coat on this one because brown is the color of the chimera pattern. There are only 3 current chimera variations in pattern so you can just try to identify the chimera pattern then look at the other coat color beneath to determine the horse color without looking at the horse page. Hope that helps!
