I don't find appies bland at all, besides, his parents only DID have appy patterns and nothing else, so where would other options even come from? They even did the best they could with producing homo appy while being both hetero

All I seem to get is Appaloosa patterns. They're always so... bland.

Transformer, would have been nice with a few more patterns, but at least he's homo appy

I feel that way about pearl as well. Always heartbroken when they skip it - especially in Ee or ee TBs

I have a chestnut mare I was really hoping was hiding silver, but alas, no luck there XD

Lol indeed! To a degree I find many Smokey cremes and brown cremes to be able to tell if they're silver or not also, though not nearly as easily as Perlinos (:

Not all perlinos are silver though, which I found out recently too. I was breeding for a quest and driving myself crazy with this stallion. Then I gene tested him and found out he's not silver.

I love perlinos, simply for the fact that they are honest about their Silver-status haha

Chestnuts and every other red based horse, as well as double cremes (perlino, smokey creme, etc) whites and greys can hide silver

Higher rated geldings get to the money faster, but they level up and move out of the money faster, too. Lower rated geldings take longer to get into the money, but they stay in the money longer.

Someone who's been around for a while (I forget who), said that she tested a bunch of geldings from a bunch of ratings back in the early days of HEE. She found that low rated geldings made almost as much as high rated geldings over their lifetime.

I think the problem with low heart is that low heart is what causes refusals.

This is what I usually tell anybody who wants to hear this :D

It was some years ago, but I had geldings from subsub sub to PPP and trained&showed them all the same.
When they passed at about age 20+ the PPPs had reached level 10 and earned about 250 - 300k
The subsubsub boys were at about level 7 and earned up to 150 - 200k.

I consider any horse SSS+ to be a good show horse.
If one horse has very low Hrt and never gets placed in the top 4 I would consider culling it. But I had low Hrt horses that ended up in the HEWGs, too.

So it´s all up to you to choose the combos you want to deal with ;)

I use geldings that are SSS+ and I find they do just as well as the PEE geldings. I'm trying to get rid of my SD gelds because they limit how much they can show. It's all about the method you use.

I believe I use your method, actually. ;) Hemlock shared it with me. But it works wonders, I definitely owe you and your method. <3

Thanks all!
