I've noticed this in 4 or 5 of my founding mares; all are EEE and seem to be good producers. Lately I've noticed their training is not great. Most only go up 1 or 2 bars on week 4, and some don't even have all 6 bars up on week 5. None of them have week 7s. They produce well, all EEE foals, but their foals seem to be weak or weaker than they're dam. (No good training). I don't know what to do...should I start over with new, stronger mares and try to fix my lines? Do a whole barn clearout? Or should I continue with my mares that produce high rated but weak foals? I'm so confused

So after looking at some of your mares and their offspring, I'd say the problem lies not so much with them as the fact that you're not using super strong studs. If you don't have the funds to send them all to say top 25 breed LB studs then it may be worth it to pick one or two of the best training/producing to breed yourself and put the rest up for public brood. That said, considering how poor the brood market is, it might be more worth it to just outright sell those extra mares if you know you won't be focusing on them again. However I don't think you need to start over entirely.

Ok, that does sound pretty accurate to me; I really haven't had the funds to get this account going...but using a strong stud won't help the mares training weakness? So do you mean hopefully get stronger foals from them by using stronger studs, even though they're weak? If that makes sense lol, sorry.

the stud wont help the mares only the foals also just a tip a strong line of show gildings may be the best bet to kick off your stable
