Hello - looking for some help here. I have a few horses and as far as I can tell, they meet the criteria to enter the HEWG qualifier shows. However, when I go to enter them into a show (in the horse page) I do not see an option to enter a few of my horses in. Riders are all paid, horses are fed and trained and in the discipline Federation. They also have the "star" in their status on my barn page.

I'm hoping someone can explain to me what is going on and why I can't enter them.

The first horse is not entered into the XC federation.

I did not look at the others by now, but they have to be entered in the federation to have the option for qualifyer shows showing up.

Would reassigning a rider pull the horse entirely from the Federation? I had a rider retire (level 10) and had to reassign a few horses. In tne GG it says "If you switch riders in the middle of the year, you will start over in earning Federation points." but that doesn't indicate to me that I need to re-enter the Federation entirely. The horses listed above are split between only 2 riders.

Yes, you'll have to re-enter the federation with the new rider and you will start over with the federation for that year. It stinks, I know. You should still be able to enter any level 8 or 9 horses in Qualifier shows if they are eligible, and they can continue to accrue qualifier points to be in the running for end-of-year HEWG shows.

Follow-up question then:

How do players usually manage their riders to keep this from happening? Are there certain markers in level 9 riders that I need to look out for at rollover? Should I just hire new level 9 riders at every RO?

No need to hire new riders, but is is always good to assign those level 9 qualifyer prospects to riders with a lot experience, but less than 850 skill points in any discipline.

Then you might be sure that they will not level up to 901 skill within the month.
