Majority of the mod staff are english or atleast fluently speak it as a second language, it is easier for modding and controling situations that everything public is in english, youre allowed to speak whatever language you wish in your game mail

Yes well many people who speak in different languages say their language is the best lol. My Grandpa (Who is full french Canadian) when he was learning english was like, "French doesn't have all the words that look alike at the end but sound different like "Through, Cough, Though, etc etc." lol

Horse games are pretty much a niche, there are not many options by default.
But English is a very popular and should be a second language to a lot of people.

This is an English-speaking game developed and hosted by English-speaking people. There will be plenty of games in other languages for non-English speakers I'm sure. I wouldn't know since there's no point in looking for games in languages you don't speak
Sweet Valley
11:23:01 Anna/Jewel
Well I am not sure about the game translating. Perhaps they use the whatever-their-language-is- to -english thingy lol.

Lynx- I am 1/4 French Canadian but I can really only say "Hello" "My name is" and "Yes" in French lol. I used a translator for the stuff after "Hello"(The french hello) lol

Oh absolutely, I can totally see that.

Thing is, supporting other languages means also having staff that speaks their language to help them out, as well as having different communities. It's a massive project that could easily get out of hand.

Ok, I thought I understood this, but apparently something has changed recently and it is making me crazy.

Up until now, I've always kept a considerable Gelding Army and I've always made enough money to feed my horses, pay my riders, show three times a week, enter Junior Riders and a handful of Federations.. My Fed horses do okay and bring in a little money at the end of the year. I enter as many Saturday special shows as I have horses doing well enough for.

However...in the past few months I am losing more than I'm making. I've culled my geldings now twice and culled riders as well. As far as riders go, I train every week and I use School horses when I have them.

One thing I have noticed is that some horses, regardless of whether they are "premium," "elite," or "superb," seem to do really well in the lower levels (like up to level 5 or 6) and then....boom! They are coming in last place and never recover. I had one I free-ranged this morning that stayed at the bottom of his class for 3 months! And he was a PEP gelding!

Typically, in the time I've been playing, I've done better with show horses with premium and superb ratings, simply because they stay in the levels a little longer, therefore bringing in a little more money. Elites do really, really well for about the first five levels and then just drop off. (This is only what I saw this morning while going through ALL of my geldings.)

I've made the mistake of trying to show mares and studs...just forget about it. Even those PPPs+ might place for one show and then...just nope.

Anyway, I have never made money on this game as a breeder, so I've always stuck to producing geldings to show and I enjoy this part of the game. If anyone has any advice out there, I would love to hear it.

I noticed this also. I have a pretty small gelding show group, mostly because I need to get ebs to buy a second barn for additional geldings. However, my small group has always been a good source of income for me. These last few seasons they are barely bringing a profit, it at all.

I'm bookmarking this to follow for any advice posted.

The reason most horses start to place lower when they reach higher levels is because they have a weakness somewhere. If you're showing a level 7 horse in dressage and their HRT and INT match that of a level 7 but their STR is only at level 5, they're not going to do very well.

Also, show everything. I show all mares and stallions. It only affects how long it takes them to train ie. https://horseeden.com/horse.php?id=10743180 eventing mare, still breeding age on the most winning overall board at 16 also on most points overall board. Another mare https://horseeden.com/horse.php?id=11366776 only 13 and a strong show horse. Just have to be patient with it I guess. I don't make money from breeding either so it's just profits from showing for me

I never go through my geldings to "cull" they are going to be in the money at some point. Also train geldings SD that way they will train 3 stats vs having stats "left behind"

SD? Nevermind, I got that one: "single discipline." LOL

Ok, I'm going to go through my 3-day eventing boys and see what they are doing best in. I'll also throw the mares and studs back into some shows and see what happens :D Thank you, Cappucino.

Also, thanks, High Tide. Have you noticed if Riders affect any of those training stats? Like, if a level 5 dressage rider has a stat of 200 (I'm making this up here) and one has a stat of 195, does it affect how well a horse trains?

Hrt would have nothing to do with a horse being shown in dressage. If the horse's int/mv are sufficiently high enough, then the str weakness isn't going to affect things as heavily.

Horses are going to place lower at higher levels because it's more competitive. Everyone wants to shove the horses into shows so they get fed points for HEWGs. Without even looking at the shows, I can probably tell you that a bulk of the top horses are going to be the ones who're nearly ready to level up.

I do have to agree. I haven't shown everyone in a while and maybe that's where I'm losing out. My best ever show horse was a PEP AA mare. Year 82 she was #2 horse in most points overall.

Alright, I have an update. I went through a bunch of 3-day eventing geldings yesterday and changed them to single-discipline based on how they had placed earlier. I also tossed all my mares and studs into shows, too. It made a HUGE difference, and now I have enough money to enter almost everything again tonight. Thank you!
