This boy has pearl from his sire. Why is he 'gold dun' and not 'palomino pearl'? Does dun override pearl? I'm pretty sure it doesn't IRL. And if it's just the way HEE writes the colours, shouldn't he still be more pale to look at?

I may be wrong but isn't gold dun basically a chestnut base with champagne and dun dilutions. Looks like this guy is a pearl carrier. He would need to be prlprl to show it. I think he would also need a cream gene

He has no creme gene (Ccr) so he couldn't be palomino anyway.

Oh, of course. Thank you. I didn't even notice the missing creme gene. I just assumed that gold dun was palomino dun. Thank you for explaining. :)
