Me too! I own the whole collection of Alan Gratz's books. Refuge was awesome and awe-inspiring. I wish I knew this Author in real life, because I would probably ask so many questions he'll be the age of one hundred by the time I've finished, ha!
It definitely helps me learn from the past, too. Like, the Nazis, for instance. What they did to Jews was unacceptable and untolerable and they should be punished. But, guess what? There are no more Nazis, thank the lords, but also means no punishing. Plus, the Nazis that are still around are, like, ninety, so...yeah. Good luck with that.

I recently went on a hiatus due to a cross-country move and had promised the owner of this horse an art piece free of charge as I wasn't completely happy with how the one I had done turned out.
