So I have been trying to decide between Sword or Shield, or Let's Go Eevee. Those were the only Pokemon games available at the Wal-Mart closest to me. I'm totally new to the franchise, so I'd like to get some input on the different games from other fans. |

Pretty much the same game, just some minor variations, mostly in what Pokemon you can catch. I played Sword. |

Shield has Galarian Ponyta/Rapidash, Sword does not. I have not played Let's Go Eevee. I would tell any horse-crazy person to pick Shield over Sword for Galarian Ponyta. Some gyms are also different types in Shield vs Sword. I personally think Shield's gyms are cooler. I personally am not a pokemon expert, but I have many gamer friends that are true pokemon nerds. |

Sword and Shield are the same game, the only difference between them is that each has some exclusive pokemon that are only available in that version. serebii has a list of exclusives you can check out, just see which one has more pokemon you like and pick that one. Also I have lets go pikachu and personally I found it really boring, but if you want something more simple maybe you'll enjoy it? |

As a pokemon fanatic (see username), I hope I can shed a bit of light on this. The Let's Go games were a redo of older games, and it is set in the Johto (second) region. We are currently up to 8 regions I believe. As you can imagine, it means that the Let's Go games are missing most of the later pokemon. The sword and shield games are the latest, with a larger variety of pokemon to catch and two post-game stories for an additional price: Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra. So in short, the Let's Go games are simpler and easier to follow, especially if it's your first game, but the Sword and Shield games are the more well-rounded/developed. There is not a big difference in gameplay mechanics though. |

If you haven't played any other Pokemon games before, you probably won't be as disappointed as I was in Sword/Shield. Not to be a downer, but as beautiful as the visuals/graphics are, the world feels... small. And gameplay limited. Compared to other Pokemon games, that is. It was an excruciatingly easy and fast play. |

So how much bigger is the Speed vs Shield world? I'm just curious lol. |

As a long time player myself, I totally get this too. My little brother who's experience with the pokemon franchise is limited completed his copy of Shield in less than a week. I mean the games are absolutely beautiful however if you are looking for a long game, I would definitely go with the Lets Go games |
