I carry pet insurance for my cats. I have Trupanion on two of them and Met Life on the third. I have used Trupanion mulitple times, I have not used Met Life yet. Insurance is very affordable for cats, less so for dogs. In my experience I have gotten back what I've paid in, now probably I've paid more than I've gotten back because I haven't had a claim for a while. One of my cats ended up having pancreatisis issues so I've been very thankful I've had it. His episodes are $1k a pop and I've had the insurance since he was a kitten, he's now 5 years old.
