We all should. Just screws up your water quality when everyone dies >.>

So...I hate cleaning the filter.
Today I tried to clean the filter (fluval306) and it will not reseal. Leaking water everywhere.
I do not know how long these are supposed to last.
But its been a few years.
So, new filter has been ordered.
Much love for fluval, but they gotta fix that crap.

2 gal hexagonal with funky color changing LEDs. And Ruby! I've had her on bloodworms since I bought her and her fins are already becoming fuller and more vivid red.

So clearly I haven't been on here in a while, I didn't know we had this thread!
I'm currently going to university with the aim of specializing in marine biology, and I'm working as a livestock associate at a fish store. I've currently got 3 tanks on the go, all freshwater. I wish I could have saltwater but I don't have the time or space to do it the way I'd like to at the moment, so that's a few years down the road. For now I just live vicariously through work and my colleagues tanks lol
As far as what I have at present:
- 5.5 gallon with my Mum's platinum halfmoon betta Angus and zebra nerite snail plus some cabomba aquatica. I'm looking into getting some nicer lighting to get a few more plants in there
- 10 gallon that's half isolation/holding/hopsital and half whatever. It was previously home to my guppies but I ended up rehoming them, 7 years of guppy ownership was enough for me. Currently there's just 4 assassin snails in there because they weren't playing well with others in the big tank.
- My current pride and joy, the 65 gallon. It's only 9 weeks old so there's still a fair bit of work to do, but I have big plans. Currently it's housing a danio, 6 whiteskirt tetra, 3 african dwarf frogs, 3 orange laser cories, 3 otocinclus catfish, a redtail shark, 7 zebra nerites and a pair of gold rams. As far as plants I've got some anubias nana, barteri and nana petite, java fern, cabomba aquatica, crypt wendtti, and pogostemon stellata. I recently planted some eleocharis parvula aka dwraf hairgrass and I'm trying to anchor some java moss to the top of the rock cave I have. I just upgraded to a dual lamp T5 HO fixture and eggcrate cover, so once the small ground cover grows in a little I'll be adding some shrimp as well. :)
Unfortunately I have no good photos of any of the tanks, I'll have to take some if I remember lol

:D I have a 10G Female beta tank! Right now it only has one female beta, a tiny puffer fish, some guppies, an aquatic frog, and some cleaner fish. :3 I also have a 26G Koi tank that is going to have agressive fish in it, such as oscars. And finally in a week or two i will have a 10G gold fish tank, with a bunch of different gold fish. Right now i keep the feeder goldfish, for my garter snake, with my koi and they always kill them. :/ Its waisting money lol so yea just wanted to rant lol. I dont know if it counts but i also have a 55G tank with a ball python, a 10G with a garter snake, and a 20G with a tortoise. :3 Ok im done lol

I haven't posted pics in a while.
Here's my tank today. I have some new background plants. I replace them on the regular. Because they get tall and scraggly and I decide to try something new. Don't ask me what they are called, because I don't remember.
The plants I have had for a while now are the anubias (nangi, I think, love it), the crypt undulata (love it, sends runners everywhere), and the red rubin sword plant (love it, just replaced it with a new one after 2 years)
https://s17.postimg.org/6soda7w4v/tank3.15.2018.jpg
And here's my three angelfish boys. Sorry for the blurriness. The one on the bottom is the most aggressive. He gets mad when I scrape the algae in the tank and tries to attack. It's kinda funny.

I do have an algae problem, so I am probably gonna get some ottos. Or nerite snails. I haven't decided yet. But probably ottos.
There's also 5 red serpae tetra in that tank, but you can't really see them in the pics. I also had them for 2 years.
I keep buying live bearers and throwing them in, and they keep dying. I find it rather weird that I can keep the sensitive fish, but the easy ones die.
Oh, there is a bristle nose pleco also. But they mostly hide.
