. . Both were here again today! The female seemed to really like clinging to the outside of the box and just casually sticking her head inside lol. The stritchy-scratchy noises through the camera were really funny.

A friend of mine invited me to their PowerPoint night and and I chose to create one about hummingbirds! You can check it out here: Wings of Wonder There are two video that go with it too. Just click the titles that are underlined which act as a link. Edited at February 9, 2025 10:01 PM by Revel Ranch

Great powerpoint. And super links to videos. Gosh I must go to Central America and see more in the wild. I did see some in Calafornia and Virginia. Thanks Revel

Such a cute slideshow, Revel. Thank you! Hummingbirds, as a fun fact, were worshipped in a certain ancient society (I forget which one, might've been Egypt) as their sun god's messengers, or companions. It's because they were (and still are!) always so mean! Lol

. . Today's dose of soggy bluebird. I was finally able to catch up with them after the shock of what occurred a couple of nights ago. I'm still healing, but thankfully they were able to bring a small smile to my face this morning. . Notice the male watching his girlfriend from the doorway lol

I googled this and and it was actually the Aztecs! Huitzilopochtli, the god of War and the Sun, was made of hummingbird feathers that fell from the sky. Versailles said: Such a cute slideshow, Revel. . . Some beautiful sunshine today! The male is as vibrant as ever. And the female looking straight up at the camera made me laugh.

. . Another bluebird update! They've been in the birdhouse together. I bet they're really considering nesting! <3 The male is the one that clung up next to the camera. That blue is amazing, so vibrant and gorgeous.

I love that they keep coming back to investigate, but haven't built their nest yet. It's like they're house hunting and keep trying to decide whether or not it is good enough. XD

This made me giggle. It really does seem that way. That's hilarious.
