Dunno why im so late to this.
I used to have reef tanks for a long while. In fact was an aquarium maintenance technician for a few years until I developed a skin allergy to the salt water. :/
So now I just have a couple bettas:

I've got a 50 gal freshwater in the works. Since I'm so terrible with planted tanks, everything is unfortunately in the works. It's been cycling for about 2 weeks now, and a did a water test (all seemed well). Tossed in a pleco to see if it's actually inhabitable aaaand so far so good. No signs of stress AND my glass looks cleaner LOL

Just a friendly warning for any future cichlid owners... No Plants! If you do have them be prepared to replant them every day. IÂ’m not exaggerating.

I've been running a freshwater tank for about 3 years now. Had some problems along the way and such, which have probably scared me rather drastically. But all is well at the moment - got some beautiful friendly albino corydoras catfish. These guys stay quite small, so are perfect for my situation. Had them for over 2 years now, and hoping for many more years to come. Here's one of them (mixture of males and females - I don't save the eggs though, so none have ever hatched):

Edit: Have now rehomed the albino corys as they outgrew the tank and needed more tank mates - wanted them to have the healthiest, happiest life :) Will miss them heaps though! Edited at May 16, 2019 01:55 AM by Amatrix Park
