I try to keep most of the ranting in PMs to closer friends, but not too many people around me have been thhrough/are going through the same thing currently. My S/O is currently in California for basic training, and I've never felt so unmotivated and alone. Letters take almost the entire month to get there, and recieve one back.. and I have to do this until the end of January when he gets a 10 day break, then has to go back for some "extra training" I forgot what it's called. It's driving me up the wall insane right now, and I'm going book crazy, which isn't good for the bank, lol. Anyone with any tips, or motivational speeches, I will gladly thanl you for. <3 It's much needed at this time. I know I'm not the only one that does/has felt like this, but it certianly feels that way at times.

im not sure of any genders here not will i asdume anything but i feel as though this is sorta fitting in this instant. - -- --- I wear no uniformsbut i am in the military, in the rank rarely seen... I am not the one who fires weapon, who puts his life on the line. But my job is just as tough, I'm the one who is always left behind. My husband make sacrifices, but so do my kids & me I love the man I married. The military is his life. So pledge to support my hero & stand among the silent ranks know as the military wife

Check out your local library! There's lots of groups and clubs there, you'll be able to connect with more people, and it'll keep your bank account and your book habit happier. I have no experience with military separation, though I have a few friends that do, and it's hard but the best thing to do is just surround yourself with people and things you care about, and to stay active and involved in the world around you. The time may or may not fly, but it'll help it speed up a little bit until your SO is home <3

Again, thank you for all the support ive received, I absolutely couldnt have pushed through without it. I mean that from the bottom of my heart. ❤️

Hey! I'm in the Army so I've been on the other end. If you ever have any questions feel free to ask. <3 I know it's rough. Not gonna give you a "but" other than it's just temporary. And once they're home, you'll be better than ever <3

I'm about to be going through the same thing but opposite here in a few months. Just know it's just as difficult and upsetting on their end too. It's a long distance relationship at this point and growing up as a military child myself, just keep on thinking about the end goal: seeing them again. Also military family member threads are certainly a thing! I used those growing up in my teen years when my dad got out and I had no one to relate with when it came to my childhood. You got this and congrats to your partner for taking this job!

Thank you! :D It's been a great deal of difficult, but he is leaving for SOI today. - On the contraray.. I really did eat my words, lol. I tell him this, and him and my family both poke fun at this.. but I have always sworn military men out of my life, and said I would never get involved. Boy how I ate my words twice over, LOLL.
