Our Catahoula adopt was one of the best dogs I ever experienced. She was wise and kind and actually so gentle. She didn't pull the leash or run away. She protected me on a walk once, and was always such a good girl. We were blessed to have found her

My fiancé and I have a rescue and then are getting a bitework puppy (born 1/1). I have no concerns that the rescue, Kenai, is friendly but he is big and could hurt someone. IÂ’d never trust kids around him just because they could push him too far. Never bit anyone but there is always that chance.

Oof Mack how old is your girl? I'm trying to decide how we are going to teach my 4.5 month old with the cats. He has started reaching for them to "pet" them. The two I'm okay with him touching don't mind it but he isn't at "pull your hair out" stage, just curious to the textures of their fur. Idk if it's best to go "no touching at all" route or teach him safe touching off the bat. I don't want him to terrorize them and get scratched or bit, but I also don't want them to feel like he's scary. Idk. It's hard lol

Yup when I was a young kid my dad brought back a dog that looked like a catahoula mix and it bit me my dad got so mad at the dog that he kicked it back outside and it never came back

That's something we're working on now! Like how to be nice to animals and general respect ya know? I got bit by our adopted Catahoula as a young girl. She was scared and I pushed her too far by trying to lay next to her. I just didn't understand and it was her first day home as a rescue.

Yeah we need to be careful when I come to getting nip at or biting from our pets my dad had to go to the ER because our cat bit him because he was trying to shave her but she didnÂ’t like it and she actually bit him
