He looked at her wearily. "Just a little tired and sore. I'm nit going to die from a couple wounds, I'm sure I'll be fine and nothing's bad is ever going to happen .. right now, because of these wounds.. to me." He finished, taking a drink and lowering his head with a huff.

"Right. Okay. Well, I've gotta go... If you need me I'll be by the ocean. See you later?" Lily asked, looking up at the clouds.

West nodded, dipping his head towards the mare before limping off to the pine trees and disappearing into the shadows.

She sighed and turned away, walking towards the ever-present smell of the sea.

West walked through the forest, the shadows sliding across his sore back. He went all the way to small river in a clearing, laying down to let the sun warm his ragged and torn up back.

Lily sighed as she walked, thinking about everything except West.

When she came to the seashore three hours later, Lily was worn out. Also, her stomach hurt. A LOT. Finally, Lily lay down and fell asleep under a maple tree, dreaming of little colts and fillies, playing in the fields.

West had his eyes closed, just basking in the light of the sun. It felt so good... he never wanted to move. His mind wandered off, thinking about various things. He started out thinking about mice... and somehow got to thinking about Lily... (Mice - Fox - Cougar - Attack On Lily - Lily) His brain worked in wonderful ways..... ways he didn't really appreciate in the moment.

When Lily woke, it was night. Her stomach was bothering her again. Ugh, she groaned, standing up and stretching. She suddenly had the urge to run in the water of the spraying sea.

West sighed and opened his eyes, standing. He walked to the stream out in the clearing, taking a deep drink. Even in doing that he still couldn't take his mind off Lily...
