Sorry our internet crashed-)) - Diablo darted out of the room and ran upstairs as fast as he could, digging a med kit out of his backpack and jumping down nearly all the stairs, then going back downstairs. He knelt at Flare's side and grabbed a clean rag, pressing it to her wound. "You're gonna be ok. Don't fall asleep on me, got it?" Diablo said firmly. He could tell the bullet went all the way through from the bloodtained hole in the bed where it obviously stopped, and the excess amount of bleeding. That was a good thing, because that meant he just had to deal with the wound and not fishing a metal chunk out of the wound. Diablo stayed calm and kept pressure on it while cleaning it out the best he could. Once the bleeding slowed to the point where he wasn't worried about immediate death anymore, he steralized a needle with alcohol and stitched up the wound quickly. After that Diablo wrapped a tight bandage around the wound, the threat now being if her ex-husband woke up and attacked again. Diablo quickly walked back over and made sure he had no weapons on him or in reach before tying his hands behind his back and strapping the still unconscious man to a post. Diablo returned to Flare's side after that

Flare struggled trying to sit up even though she knew she shouldn't (seriously this girl never learns)" can i sit up?" she asked even though she already knew the answer. She was tired and dizzy.

Diablo gently took Flare's shoulders and pushed her right back to the floor. "No. Stay." He answered with a slight shake of his head, snatching a pillow off of the bed and placing it under her head. "You're not moving until I tell you it is okay, please. It'll just make it worse."

Flare sighed she seemed to be doing that alot lately "ok you win" she whispered before shivering slightly. The amount of blood she lost made it harder to stay warm. Plus she could still taste blood in her mouth.

Diablo, convinced Flare would stay put for at least right now, stood and grabbed the blanket off of the bed. He didn't want to move her, so he had to bring the stuff to her. He draped the blaket over her before walking out and getting a cup, filling it up with water and bringing it to her. "Here." He said quietly, propping her head up a little more on the pillow so it would be easier to drink.

Flare could only manage to swallow a few sips of water before she fell back into the pillow. "weakling" her now fully awake ex-husband hissed causing Flare's eyes to widen with fear as she flinched backwards.

Diablo clenched his jaw and slowly turned around. "Unless you want me to let Rex maul you to death, I suggest you shut up before you feel a fist connect with your face. Again." He growled in a low tone. Rex pinned his ears and snarled ferociously at the man... and it looked intimidating. The dog that weighed more than the man, with glistening razor sharp fangs bared right in his face. Not the most welcoming sight.

Flare's ex instantly shut up. Flare smiled slightly before asking "am i allowed to sleep now or is that still too risky?''

Diablo glanced back at Flare, his face smoothening out so he didn't look angry at her. "Yeah- you can sleep. I'll stay right here." He assured quietly, knowing she would be safe. Rex wasn't going to leave her ex until the guy was either dead or gone, and Diablo wasn't going to leave her side.

Flare nodded slightly before dropping off to sleep. She knew she probably looked like a wreck but she didn't care she just wanted to be able to stop fighting. I hope Diablo looks up my history, she thought there are some things he has the right to know but i could never explain.
