Prentice laid his head down on the grass. He felt weak... like he was dying. "Mom, dad." He whispered over his heavy breaths.

Radioactive's ears went up, She knew something was wrong, glancing over her foals, she knew it wasn't Bolt or Breezi. It must be Cosmic or Prentice. She thought, running to Cosmic, who was standing over Prentice crying. No, She thought,It can't be happening, "No! Prentice, breath." Radioactive gasped, She couldn't lose her first foal, her baby. She attacked Prentice with her tongue, tears spashing his coat. She licked him fiercely and nieghed.

Prentice looked at the horses surrounding him. Then everything went blank... His world was dark and scary without his family. Heat washed over him. His breathing wouldn't last long.

No! Radioactive screamed, Come Back! Radioactive fell to the ground and screamed.

Cosmic reared and started sobbing.

Prentice tried to stand. His legs were shaking. He wouldn't make it to the barn in time to get water.

Go get water Cosmic! The pail on the right! Radioactive said to Cosmic, who ran to the barn and brought it back. Radioactive placed it in front of Prentice, Drink! She said.

Prentice drank frantically. He stood up and ran far away crying. He was always left alone. His parents were always with the newer foals and not him.

Cosmic ran away, in the oppisite derection, "What if I run away?"

Cosmic thought out loud to herself

Sooner rather than later, Prentice was dehydrated again. He laid on the ground. This time he knew it was over. "I love you guys." He said in the direction of his family, as he took his last breath.

Cosmic got tired and went to find her brother, when she found him she started crying and fell in a pile.
