"Oh that's cool, I'm from Minnesota as well!" Caden grinned, "What's your name?" The girl probably thought he was flirting, as he saw her eyes harden. She was very pretty so this was probably something she got a lot, but he honestly wasn't flirting and just wanted to get to know others at the barn. She definitely seemed the type to whack him upside the head if he laid it on thick.

Alaska studied the boy for a moment more before deciding he wasn't flirting. She had seen way too many stupid boys to know this probably wasn't one of them. Her eyes softened slightly and her body relaxed a little as he said he was from Minnesota. "Land of the ten thousand lakes and 6 month winters." She commented with a small smile, which brightened her face and made her look a lot more welcoming and a lot less ready to kill him. "Names Alaska, what 'bout you?" She asked with a slightly raised eyebrow

Ashton Hunter | 18 | Male | Ace Of Spades | Mentions: Alaska, Caden, Josie.
Ashton walked back into the barn and heard a few voices going back and forth. He looked over at a pair of people talking. He studied them briefly before heading back to Ace's stall. Ace nickered to his boy after noticing him walking over. The tall stallion stuck his head out the stall door to greet his boy. Ashton reached out and Ace sniffed his hand before nudging him softly. Ash pulled the door open after pushing Ace's nose back inside softly and put his halter on. He stepped into the stall and pulled the studs blanket before walking out of the stall with him. Ace arched his neck and snorted at the sight of new people. "don't be a show-off." Ashton whispered as Ace pulled on the lead and then popped up slightly. He puffed himself up and started to prance next to Ash as they walked out of the barn.

Caden ran his hand through his hair again, Alaska staring at him had been making him nervous. Caden studied her noticing she looked a lot more welcoming now. "State of hockey too, eh? My names Caden, but please call me Cade cause you'll sound like my Grandma otherwise." He said still smiling, and laughing a little at the end.

Alaska glanced away after a moment, observing the barns. An eye-catching horse... caught her eyes, so he looked that over quickly. It was a pretty boy... the horse... but she didn't pay any attention to the human. She looked back as he spoke, a grin forming on her pretty face. "Agreed. A lot of hockey. It is nice to meet you, Caden." Alaska teased with a grin, holding out her hand to shake it. "Cough cough, I mean Cade." She added with a sly glance, but then turned to her mare who did a little rear in the stalls and snorted loudly. "Excuse me for a moment, if you will." Alaska sighed, going into the beautiful, well defined mare's stall and placing a hand on her neck. "How are you so good at Western Pleasure when you act like this." She muttered, soothing the horse with a gentle touch. The mare calmed right down and shoved her white face into Alaska's chest, making the girl stumble backwards. "You clingy puppy." She scolded with a shake of her head, patting the mare again before leaving the stall

Caden followed Alaska's eyes to see a boy walking out the barn behind him with a large grey horse that looked to be a thoroughbred. His sharp blue eyes snapped back to Alaska's as she started to speak. He smiled and rolled his eyes when Alaska quite clearly called him Caden to get a rise out of him. He shook her outstretched hand with an exasperated smile, knowing she would be a great friend to have. As Alaska excused her self to take care of her pretty mare, he smiled and nodded walking back towards the tack room. Now that he truly had nothing to do, Caden started to unpack his truck and replace anything moved during the drive. He hung his bridle and martingale on the rack labeled Argo, and set his saddle on the saddle rack directly below it. He grabbed out Argo's brushes, fly and wash gear, and brought the supplies in front of his stall, hanging the sheet on the blanket rack. Returning to his trunk, he reorganized his saddle pads, wraps and his personal equipment. Setting his boot bag next to his trunk, he closed up his trunk and headed out to his truck for some relief. Caden wasn't used to hot Texas summers at all, having thoroughly enjoyed Minnesota's winters and more mild summers.

After checking on Sea Clown, Alaska went to start unloading her tack from her truck. She grabbed a rack first, then in the other hand Alaska cradled a heavy Western Saddle. She walked into the tackroom and carefully set the rack down, unfolded it with her foot and one hand, then placed the saddle atop it in the little corner she could call hers. Alaska walked back out and grabbed a couple more things, including hooks to hang her bridles and halter on, and the bridles and halters themselves. Once Alaska had arranged everything neatly, she cleaned her tack thouroughly, scrubbing every bit with leather cleaner. She was getting quite hot... Alaska really only moved to Texas because it had the riding stable she specifically wanted. She loved Minnesota and everything about it, including its freezing winters. Alaska was always happiest riding in the snow, making snow forts, skiing, snowboarding, or sledding. The winter activies were her favorite. She thought about that while sweating her hair out in Texas, scrubbing tack.

Ashton Hunter | 18 | Male | Ace Of Spades | Mentions: The arena
Ashton took a deep breath once out of the barn. He noticed the other people in the barn watching Ace, and it made him nervous. The grey stallion pulled at his lead once he realized where they were going. Ace opened up his stride trying to move faster, but Ashton pulled him back slightly. Ace nickered when Ash's hand landed on the arena gate. He opened up the way into the empty arena before having Ace step through then he closed the gate. Ashton undid the black halter before pulling it over Ace's ears. The second it was off Ace jumped to the side and took off. He galloped to one end of the arena before sliding to a stop and spinning around to prance down the long side of the sunny arena. He snorted and kept an eye on Ashton as he brought in a few poles and set up some pole's to trot and canter over. Ace scanned the area around him before finding a spot someone else would see him. He arched his neck and pranced around like an Arabian before bucking off and cantering around Ashton who was in the middle of the arena
