Now that Caden had cooled off in his truck he grabbed his duffel bags out of the backseat. He walked down to cabin five, the one he had been assigned. He had found the key hanging on Argo's bridle rack, which he inserted into the lock and twisted, hearing the lock click and the door push open. Caden walked in, closed the door, and found the bedroom pretty quickly which is where he set his bags. Happy that he was in a fully air conditioned building, he could relax from the heat, and he flopped down on the bed. After a moment he started unpacking his bags into the closet. One bag for just riding clothes, one for everyday clothes, and one for pajamas, gym clothes, and fancy clothes if he ever needed them. Satisfied with how his room looked, he moved his tolietries to the bathroom and washed his face. Walking into the kitchen, finding it stocked with food, Caden realized he would not have to make the long drive to a grocery store. Glad he was fully unpacked, he walked back out to the barn to refill Argo's water and muck his stall. Caden planned to take Argo for a short ride to stretch his legs, but first he needed to eat. He headed to the riders lounge and went into the small kitchen, and started to make mac and cheese.

Alaska finished cleaning her tack and walked out of the definetely-not-air-conditioned tack room, going to Clown's stall. Alaska entered into the antsy mare's domain and grabbed the water bucket, refilling it at the closest spigot and lugging the water back. After that was taken care of she grabbed the key to her cabin and went to find it, peering at the number. Cabin 6. Alaska noted the number and grabbed her luggage from her truck, throwing it over her shoulder and started the walk. Most of these cabins were meant to be driven to, but she didn't care. It wasn't like she had much to carry. Alaska got to Cabin 6 and inserted the key into the lock, turning it with a loud click. She pushed open the door and closed it behind her, a wave of cool air smacking her in the face. Alaska smiled slightly, looking around for the bedroom before finding it and setting her two bags down. One was a small canvas bag that looked like it came from the army, and the other was identical to that. She opened up the first one to find normal clothes and toiletries, taking them out. Alaska hung them up in the closet before taking the rest and putting it in the bathroom. She then unpacked the second bag, which was show clothes and riding clothes. Alaska put those on the other side of the closet and stashed the bags on the bottom after taking out the rest of the stuff, which was a couple books and other personal items. She walked out to the kitchen and quickly cooked up a batch of scrambled eggs, eating them swiftly, knowing Sea clown was beside herself with excitement. Once Alaska had finished she went out and locked the door again, walking back to the mare's stall.

Caden finished up his food and put the dishes into the dishwasher, then made his way back to his cabin. He put on tan breeches and a pair of riding socks, and headed to the barn. He put the rest of his stuff on in the tack room, and grabbed Argo's tack. Caden brushed Argo off and put on a white saddle pad, black half pad, and his CWD jumping saddle. He wrapped Argo's legs with matching polos and bridled him. The pair walked out to the jumping arena where Caden set up a small bounce and one oxer. The bounce was about 2'6" which was perfect to warm up on and the oxer was 3'6" so that Argo could have some fun and stretch his legs. Caden warmed his up quickly, not wanting to spend too much time in the heat. Once he was satisfied with his trot and canter, they cantered through the bounce and couple times each way. Argo always drifted right, so Caden worked holding him straight through the bounce. Next he let Argo gallop a lap or two for fun, then collected him and pointed him at the oxer. Argo took large strides and launched himself over the jump. Caden could feel his horse jump round and snap his knees up. They went across the diagonal with a flying lead change and jumped the same jump again off the other lead. Caden let Argo move to a nice distance near the base, and felt Argo rock back as he took off. Very happy with the jump, Caden let Argo trot out in the buckle, slowly pulling down to the walk. The pair caught their breath, then headed into the barn. Argo was quickly untacked, and brought to a wash stall. Caden quickly showered his horse, and sprayed himself a bit to cool off. After scraping his horse dry, he returned him to his stall. Caden cleaned his tack off and put it away. He put his saddle pad and polos into a laundry bin and his half pad into his trunk. After putting his personal items in the trunk, he put the jumps in the arena away, and then he returned to his cabin for a shower.

Alaska grabbed Sea Clown's tack, which consisted of a black and dark brown leather western saddle with some glowing white skulls on the front and blue crosses on the back. The pad was black with the same pattern, white skulls on the front and blue crosses in the back. She then put on the dark brown bridle that had small blue crosses across the headband, leading the horse out after strapping on a black helmet. Alaska went to the left of the barns, finding the gaming arena first. Sea Clown needed to get her energy out. She put out barrels, adjusting each one perfectly. Alaska hopped on the dancing mare who was sitting on her haunches and bouncing up and down. She held the mare back in a trot, though Clown refused to walk. The mare pranced through the arena, then Alaska let her canter. She cantered at the pace of a trot, but it was all up and down movement. Finally Alaska circled the mare back to the beginning and counted to three, then let her go. Sea Clown shot off like a shot of out a pistol. She sat on the first barrel and turned on a dime, shooting forward to the second before doing the same exact turn. It was amazing that Sea Clown could go that fast, or slow down that fast... or that Alaska could stay in the saddle. The mare sat around the third barrel and streaked home like an Angel of out Hell, crossing the timeline. Alaska slowed the mare down into another bouncy trot, checking her time. 15.3 seconds. She grinned, knowing that was just a warmup and Clown could go faster. After another round of the same thing, she got a time of 15.1 seconds. One more round and Sea Clown had bolted through a run of 14.8 seconds. Alaska then let the mare streak around the outside of the arena, moving like there was a demon on her tail. She lengthened out full speed, her head stretched forward, her ears pinned, her teeth bared. When the mare finally slowed down Alaska was laughing. "You look like a demon horse from way down under, Clown. Everyone will think you're terrifying!" Alaska chuckled, slowing the mare down even more. Now the horse walked, sweat dampening her dark coat. Alaska let Clown walk out of the arena, then hopped off. The mare pricked her ears forward and almost looked like she smiled. Alaska snickered slightly and brushed the mare's bald face with her hand, leading the horse into her stall and untacking her. She then brushed the mare down quickly, and the sweat had already disappeared. Obviously Sea Clown was used to that. After everything was done with the mare she stood placidly in her stall, her head drooped to the ground, easily flicking her tail. "You really are a Clown." Aaska mumbled, going out and walking towards the cabin

Ashton Hunter | 18 | Male | Ace Of Spades | Mentions: The arena
Ashton saw the other riders tacking their horses and bringing them out and he called Ace back and clipped the lead rope back onto his halter before rubbing the slightly sweaty stallion. Ace snorted lightly before dropping his head. "Good boy." Ash told him as they walked out of the arena and over to a wash stall. Ace fell asleep while Ashton was getting the hose turned on. He started washing off the tall stallion and cleaning him up. When he finished getting all the salty sweat off Ashton used his blue sweat scrapper to dry Ace off further. He rubbed the greys head with a wet cloth to clean him off his face and wake him up slightly before unclipping the cross ties and taking him to his stall. Ace perked his ears up and went in to roll in the shavings. Ashton shook his head and smiled before going to get his bags and go find his cabin.

Alaska went to her cabin, entering and closing the door behind her. The air conditioning, yet again, felt nice. She went over to the bedroom and sat down in a small chair in the corner, thinking of what to do. It was going to get dark soon, and she had already ridden Clown. Alaska didn't want to stay in her cabin the whole time, but she also didn't know what to do. She decided to hop in the shower, quickly washing herself off before ringing out her hair and getting dressed again. Alaska this time put on black shorts that came down to just above her knees, and a black tank top with a dark green button up shirt over that. She did what she usually did and buttoned the middle hole before brushing through her hair and drying it... mostly... then grabbing a book and exiting the cabin. Alaska walked back to the horses with a chair in her hands, setting it down outside Clown's stall and sitting down to read for a little bit.

Caden finished his shower, putting on black shorts and a light green shirt. He plopped onto his couch, hoping to find something on tv. He flipped through channels until he found a soccer match, Arsenal vs Chelsea. The wouldn't start for ten minutes, so Caden called his mom, knowing she would be wondering how he was doing. He let her know that he had settled in well and Argo was happy and comfortable. They talked about his little sister and her softball, hearing that her team had won their tournament. Caden definitely missed his family but he'd make sure to visit them.

Alaska read for a little bit, her light blue eyes studying the faded yellow sheets of paper that made up the old red book. She finally put it down with a sigh, glancing back at Clown, who was sleeping, then standing up. She left the chair there and held the book in her hands, walking out of the barn and towards the trails behind it. She entered the woods and walked through the dappled forest, heading towards the sound of the quietly gurgling stream.

After the soccer match finished, Caden looked at his phone, realizing it was going on 9pm. He headed back to the barn, cleaning Argo's stall, refilling his buckets, and giving him hay for the night. Now that night check was complete, Caden needed dinner. He headed back to the rider's lounge, hoping some other riders would be there as he'd been without much human interaction today, and he was quite bored on his own.
