Tigress wasn't sure if was the right decision to go back to the herd, if they did, the herd would have to wait to move for awhile. There was no way Tigress could travel any faster than a tortoise, which annoyed her half to death. She got up and leaned on Lilac anyways. She kept one eye on Brook though. She was protective of Wildfire and she didn't know Brook. Lilac had told them to trust Brook, she should have known better than to say that to Tigress. Tigress would never, trust some random horse she had just met. So instead she glared at the stallion, keeping her eye on him in case he tried anything. He'd have to earn her trust.

Lilac frowned when she saw that Tigress was glaring at Brook, she looked at the ground. She knew that the herd would be suspisious him...but he helped he and she respected that. He was also fairly kind, to how he had been acting to her you would have thought he was in the herd. She whispered to Tigress, "I know what I'm doing...please...". She looked at Wildfire who looked unsure. She smiled at him letting him know to just let Brook help him. He couldnt walk without getting hurt so Brook might as well help him. Lilac didnt want the herds beta any more injured than he was right now, he had to take it steady along with Tigress.

Wildfire paused before he got up. He gave Brook a glance that told him to give him space. Wildfire got up slowly, grimacing. When Brook tried to help him he flicked his ears back. He would respect the stallion if Lilac trusted him, but that didn't mean he would trust him. He stood there for a moment, balancing himself before he spoke. He looked at Lilac. "We should stay here. The herd needs to move. If we go with you, the herd will be vulnerable anyways. I'm not in the best shape to be fighting. There is danger near so you should leave. Keep heading west, you'll be fine." Wildfire glanced at the chestnut mare. "We will be able to move quickly when we're healed, and it shouldn't be but about a week, if not less." He gave her a kind and reassuring look. He knew they would jeopardize the herd if they came with them. He gently moved Tigress off of Lilac and she laid down. Lilac had a concerned and frightened look on her face. "I promise we will be alright." He nuzzled her and pressed his forehead against her's. "Go. Before something else happens. The herd needs to get moving."

Lilac paused, her eyes looked straight into Wildfires. "I'm not leaving you two! The herd needs you both, I cant do it alone! I'm not good enough, I need you two to be helping the herd." Tears started dripping down the black mares face, she needed them to be with her. She couldnt do this without them. "Who will be beta when you are gone?! No horse is fit for it except you, you keep the herd together. Wildfire the herd needs you.", Lilac looked at the ground, tears pouring down her face.

Wildfire's eyes widened. "Wh-what are you talking about? You are an amazing alpha! Don't ever say you aren't good enough. No one needs to replace me." He sighed softly. "We are mostly healed. I can promise we will be back either tomorrow or the day after. Please. The herd needs to move and we can't move, the healing will just take longer. I will be back soon, I swear." He gently nuzzled the tears off her delicate head. He looked into her eyes and held her gaze. His expression was soft.

Lilac gave Wildfire a small smile and nodded. She trusted him, she nuzzled him goodbye. Before she left for the herd she walked over to Tigress and whispered, "Keep him safe" she smiled at the mare and then began to walk the way to the herd. Brook looked at the two horses before trotting up to catch upi with Lilac, he knew they didnt trust him and he understood. Lilac got to the herd, she was welcomed with nieghs of the herd. "Everyone one this is Brook, he will be staying with us for a while, he helped me find Wildfire who led me to Tigress. They will be catching up to us in a few days, a cougar attacked them and they need to heal. Please feel free to ask me questions if you have any. We leave in an hour, it is not safe here." And with that Lilac walked away, she lay down under a tree and rested. She would need the sleep.

Tigress layed back down. She was relieved that Lilac had agreed to let them stay here. She feared that they would have made the herd more vunerable to danger if they had gone back right now. They were a main target for predators in their injured state. She smiled when Lilac told her to protect Wildfire. "I will," she whispered back. "And Lilac? Before you go, I want to tell you what an amazing Alpha you are. You lead everyone with such care and you make desicions that take into consideration other horses opinions. I am proud to have you as my Alpha. I trust you." Those words never came out of Tigress's mouth if she didn't mean them. Lilac had done a good job of helping the herd through these difficult times and she trusted Lilac to make good decisions. "Just-- be careful with Brook, horses aren't always as kind as they seem..." Tigress watched Lilac walk off with Brook. She hoped that Lilac was right about trusting him, but even though she trusted multiple horses now, Wildfire, Farnight, and Lilac, it didn't mean she was just going to start throwing trust around everywhere. She still had her gaurd up. Edited at November 8, 2022 10:47 AM by Flying Chance Stable

Sultan looked away slightly thinking how he was going to word all of this as he then looked back at her gainging the courage. "Well would you like to be mates ?"

Arion looked over at Sultan. It sort of shocked her. "O-Of course!" She said excitedly. The black mare's wavy tail swished in the wind and she nuzzled Sultan. "I was just thinking about that! Not to be weird or anything." She giggled.

Lilac saw Arion and Sultan talking and went over to them. "Are you two okay? I know I was gone a while, just wanting to make sure." Lilac looked at them both.
