Ranger watched the mare for a moment more, then tossed his rich brown mane. There was nothing else for him to do here, so he cantered after the mare, his head down and ears relaxed. Once he had mostly caught up he slowed to a trot, perking his ears. "Hey there." Ranger called in a friendly voice, slowing again to an ambling walk, then a halt

Mini slowed to a stop beside him then turned so she was facing him. "Hello" she held her head high, her body tense, ready to run if anything happend

|
Ranger held his head high, but he still looked friendly and calm, relaxing a hind hoof and swishing his tail. "Why are you way over here?" He asked with a tilt of his head, his eyes sparkling in a good-natured way and his snowcap back glinting in the bright sunlight

Mini eyed the stallion while she flicked her tail. "I got separated from my herd"

|
Ranger's face fell slightly, his ears flicking back. "Aw, that's terrible. Being separated from your herd must suck... I don't know exactly what it's like, because I got kicked out of my herd at the age of 2 just because I was a stallion and have been a lone roamer from then to now, but I kind of feel your pain," He drawled, his playful brown eyes gazing at her for a moment. "I'm sure, if you'd like, you could hang around this herd for some time." He commented, stomping his hoof as flies buzzed around it

Mini looked away "I don't know. I need to get back to my herd but I have no idea where to start. Im lost. Wolves were following us and I had to dodge some huge trees. I lost my herd and now look at me. Taking directions from a stallion. How nice." She snorted out the last few words and flicked her tail, turning and trotting away "thanks for the offer though" she called over her shoulder

|
-Ouch- Ranger thought, wincing back ever so slightly at her words. "It was my pleasure. Good luck finding your herd." He answered, his voice dulled a little as he turned and started walking back. So much for that. -Everyone seems to think I'm an idiot. Do I just look like one, or is it just me acting like one?- He thought grumpily

Mini flicked her ears in all different directions, hoping to catch the sound of Grayson or Fiona. Nope. None. Mini lowered her head -I should've been nicer to him. He was just trying to help. But he's a stallion and my experience with stallion is not the best- she rolled her eyes and trotted in a circle befor stopping and looking around, catching a quick glimpse of the stallion

|
Ranger stopped at the top of a rolling hill, looking out over the plains with a sigh. Maybe he just needed to be like every other boring or rude stallion, and then he might be accepted... because obviously no one liked him because he was *different*. He tried to be nice, he was always ready for a joke, he loved to tease, he always had a playful look in his sparkling eyes. Maybe he just needed to be normal.

Mini sighed. She turned and cantered around ins watch if the horse from earlier. She caught sight of him standing on a hill "was he the leader or something?" She muttered to herself. She cautiously walked toward him "hey I'm sorry about earlier... I'm just really nervous around other horses and it shows in different ways compared to other horses" she lowered her head "so again I saw I'm sorry"
