Croft agree with you there! Would be good to have some ways to make WWWs more ‘active’ and actually do some eventing - rather than just being a step towards… a slightly better WWW

Really good suggestion Min. I feel like I've had to maintain age-restricted block list for my account just to keep my sanity.

Breeding is frustrating because it is hard to, tell if your horse is good. Medallions, svens, glasses used all used distort the real outcome. Also RF is ridiculous. Not getting higher ratings is not an option either. I think horses should have to meet training and showing requirements to hit a LB. This is an eventing game supposedly which ultimately means showing. Horse with no show expireience and little training should not even qualify for leader board. Sitting back and not even playing the heart of the game and getting lucrative income from horses not ever shown is unfair.

Hello! I realise I should start planning RO a little better, so I feel like I need to stop throwing my girls at studs based purely on vibes.

I don't have a huge selection of broodmares, but my current batch includes a couple of EEEs, a few more EEPs and one awkwardly rated AWW wildie (Oakmoss Simplicity A|W|W)

My main priorities for RO are Oakmoss Candyland E|E|E and Oakmoss Amara E|E|E, to hopefully get some EWE+ girls for the future.

My main question is, is matching particularly important at this 'level'? I strongly doubt any of these girls will give me a WWW, so I don't feel like I need to forensically analyse who I put them to. Is it enough just to vaguely match strengths and weaknesses (most of them seem weaker in Mv + Int, so aiming for studs stronger in these if possible), rather than tailoring matches to each mare?

Any advice greatly appreciated, and if anyone has any idea on how to make my AWW girl more useful (short of trying to breed that A out), that would be awesome :')

I'd look for a EWW+ RID brood for a match to focus on if thats in the cards for you, then breed the EEE girls to the highest RID LB stud that allows EEE mares and go from there. I wouldnt focus on the AWW as the A is going to prove super difficult to breed up, BUT if yu want to for funsies, I'd breed to the highest Dressage LB (yet AD trained and rated) RID stud that would allow those ratings.

What Capp said! Also for your main question, yes, even at lower ratings, matching matters - perhaps even more than when putting two strong WWW's together, since EEEs are significantly weaker and breeding up from lower ratings is hard. Be as thorough as you can about matching - not just finding a dressage strong stud if your mare is weak in dressage, but specifically one who is strong in the traits your mares are weak in.

Thank you both! I'm definitely aiming for an EWW+ brood when funds allow, and I think I have fairly good matches for my EEE girls now. I'll throw my AWW mare to a decent stud for funsies, purely as a bit of a project to see if I can breed up that A, but definitely not holding out on her 😂 Guess the rest is up to the RF gods!
