Yesterday bloody sucked. Sunday night I noticed my roommate and my cat Tackleberry (Tac) wasn't doing to well. I made him comfortable to keep an eye on him. At 4:45am MT (mountain time for those of you not in the US) Tac had a massive siezure. I got him through that, and continued to pet him and keep him clam. An hour later he passed on. Tac was a beautiful orange and white chonker cat. And for those who don't know the term chonker, it's a term given to a big animal. Mind you Tac wasn't fat he was solid muscle and about 20 to 25lbs. He was laid back and nothing really phased him. He loved licking the youngest cat to death when Johnny got a little to playful. But his favorite thing to do was curl up in the bathroom sink and nap all day. He started life as a stray, and then got taken to the shelter. We adopted him when he was about 5 years old and had him for 3 years. My roommate wanted to make me feel better after my cat Parker passed away on the night that I moved to Cheyenne, and Tac looked a lot like Parker we both fell in love with the chonker. He had several health issues FIV being the biggest one. I think his health finally decided to give out on him. At least he passed in a loving home, and not on the streets or in a small cage. Rest easy my friend. Tackleberry 2016/17 to 2024.

Awww. Sorry for your loss. Sounds like he was a good boy, and fortunate to have someone who loved him. ♥️

He was a good boy. I'll miss him deeply. The youngest cat Johnny who was only 5 months old when we got him loved playing with Tac. When Tac got fed up he would groom Johnny to death by pinning him to the floor and then licking the day lights out of Johnny until Johnny begged to be let up. Johnny doesn't understand that Tac isn't coming back, at least not in a physcial form. He keeps looking for Tac, and the other cats are trying to help Johnny cope. I'm just glad they were able to say good bye to Tac before I took him to be cremated. Piper Lane Farm said: Awww. Sorry for your loss.
