If you get one on you theres. Very small chance it can bite you and cause like a bug bite, but I am washing my hands every couple minutes while doing everything with her so I should be fine

I do have more snakes, but I am very diligent about not cross contaminating between my reptiles and their enclosures and the enclosures aren't close together. So it's next to impossible for any of my other ones to get them, but I am keeping an eye out and so far all others are clear

I also discovered them while she was in the middle of eating, so that didn't help with having to do it all after she just ate

She seems okay so far. Not too happy about being handled so much as shes a baby and about her enclosure being stripped with only Paper towels as a substrate, but she isn't showing any signs of stress, just mad lol. She didn't like when I was trying to pick them off her though

You can, but It's too large to boil and its safer to keep just freeze it for a long time. Less chance of anything surviving

Aww poor baby... sounds like a miserable process..can you not boil the wood to sterilize it? We do that for our fish tanks.

Luckily I caught it early so she didn't have very many on her and I believe I got almost all of them off so hopefully it won't be to long of a process

I have already stripped her entire enclosure and disinfected/washed everything that can be washed. I have her wood and substrate in the freezer where it needs to stay for about a month to kill any on and in them. And I have to give her soaks every other day or so in dawn dishsoap and water. And everytime I soak her I have to disinfect everything again.
