Trish, yes, the dishonest representation of horses kills me.
I had hoped to buy from this stable again, as they do have some nice TBs with color. But not after they burned me on this mare. I did go see her in person, and knew she needed groceries, but didn't bother to ride her as it was icy and icky winter weather. Stoopid me for being a trusting human and believing the owner. I did NOT like the current barn owner/trainer from first moment, but she was said to have done nothing more than board the horse. Then I came across someone who had worked the mare the year before and knew way more about her history than what was shared, even specific questions I asked were answered untruthfully. The mare's behavior pretty much reflects everything the other person was telling me after the fact, so I tend to believe she is being more honest aobut her experience with the horse, than either the trainer or owner were. |
