I'm just curious, does anyone on here use a pull collar instead of a breast collar? And if you do what do you like about it, what brand is it, and what do you use it for? I've been looking into switching from using a normal breast collar to a pull collar, I ride western and mainly on mountainous trails :) thanks in advance!

I rigged up a pull collar for my personal boys, and for my breaking and training, since a lot of the horses are a bit spicy.
I personally love it! The higher configuration means I don't worry about it slipping down on the horses' necks, and I don't have to wear a wither strap either. I also really like how it fits on the horses' necks, going more around the neck than straight across the chest. In my opinion, they're great.
I rigged mine from a normal breast collar and a couple other parts-n-pieces.

Thank you so much Dimrill! Did you use any websites to figure out how to make it or did you figure it out yourself?

No, I actually just modeled it after one that a friend uses. I took 2 cheekpieces from a bridle and buckled them around the swell (through the hole, y'know, at the front of the seat) One on each side of the horn, voila. Attach breast collar straps and you're set!
