Very cute boy. I learned to ride on an old been there done that TB mare that had retire from Polo. Vanda could be taken from her feed and ridden around the big pasture in a halter and rope, and she wouldn't go faster than a walk unless I asked. She was like 16.2, so to me 4 year old self, she was huge. She died around the time I was 6 and we had gotten me a QH mare to take her riding place as her health declined, but she still got the attention she was used to. Now the long we had, and still have, was an absolute brat and threw me several times on a leadline, so she just hangs around. Lilly is 19 and is raising a beautiful Palomino paint filly, but it's also a snot, so I don't know what I think of her.

Aww so sorry that you lost vanda when you were so young, Roley is also a very lazy pony, but can buck an awful lot, I've never, jinx touchwood, fallen from a buck but they have been pretty big well some of them anyway. Congratulations on the foal sounds beautiful even though she may be bratty! And thanks. Hope you have fun with your horses!

Those drift sales are heartbreaking, the poor things sell for as little as one pound. Wish I had some land so that I could rescue one.

The woman, who bought Roley, and his four other pals were rescued from slaughter, no idea what she paid for him, but it makes me cry thinking about what could've happened to those ponies. Apparently, they all went to lovely forever homes. I have a photo of all of them when Roley was a yearling. Here it is:

Roley's the red looking one on the end.
