Who wasn't bred by me, but was gelded by me, and it gave me the ungeld option. Is this a bug since it specifically says only ungeld horses you've bred?

As the event season will soon be upon us, I think it's time to get a dressage saddle, rather than just doing everything in a jump saddle. (I have long legs so trying to ride a dressage test in long stirrups and a jump saddle... it doesn't work.)
I was looking at the kent and masters saddles, but I just didn't particularly like the saddle. I have around 3k for a nice, long-wearing saddle, preferably with larger knee rolls and a little thigh roll >,>
I'm tired of looking lol.

I've heard great things about Verhan dressage saddles. I have the jumping one and love it.
Albion are also known for being really nice. What does your trainer recommend? You might get more bang for your buck with a used saddle.

I don't have a trainer so I spend a lot of my time browsing. I found that bates' wide dressage seemed quite popular. Someone has one at my yard that I'm going to try on her just for an idea of how it would fit.

I have a Frank Baines that has a lot of the traits you seem to be looking for that I've been very happy with. They have a good reputation for quality and longevitiy without being too expensive. I got mine used for about 1.5k.

My dressage saddle is a Passier Grand Gilbert. I bought it new in Germany for 1500, decades ago. I think new ones go for a bit more than that. I think they are not so popular any more, but I could be wrong. If you have an opportunity to try one then go for it. Mine was super comfortable and fit my average width trakehner very nicely. The tree is 18W. I love my saddle.

I have a friend who loves her CWDs and I currentlly have a Avant Garde but I don't like the way it throws my leg forward. I have ridden in a couple stubbens and they were nice, supported myy leg well, but out of my price range

I'm 6ft, stopped riding this year however I have found that the Bates caprillis were the most comfy dressage saddles ever. I also like the Windsor's but doubt you have them over there lol. I did have a newer Bates show saddle for a while and hated it. I found the flaps didn't accommodate my legs and didn't allow me to really put my leg in the horse. I've ridden in a few other newer Bates saddles and had similar issues. The Bates quality is not what it was

I *love* Black country - ridden in there Eloquence, Eden and Optima. Eden was by far my fav but the tree is more suitble for a horse with lots of withers or a "curvy" back. They do have a wide array of tree shapes so that can get overwhelming. I currently ride in their GPX

TBH, if you can get an independant saddle fitter out to try different makes and models of saddles it would be the best. Especially when making an investment you want to make sure it fits both you and your horse <3

Everyone will give you different answers; ideally you can get an independent saddle fitter out with some options to try. So much more bang for your buck. Don't do what I just did and start buying and selling saddles like crazy because none of them work out.
