Right now, I and the instructors are splitting the barn work. We have a couple minors who help around the place but cannot do everything. |

Especially if they are training without the owner being present- which is a normal practice here. My barn is sending the 2 year old to a trainer once she hits 3, not enough people at the barn know how to fully and safely break a youngster. |

Even the most bombproof horses can have a day. Ben acted up with me in the warm up ring, bouncing around. He did the same in our final lesson before that show too. No pain, nothing wrong, just did not want to go faster than a slow walk. |

The sire appears to be typical frame (overo) but the dam is definitely not. Her highly mottled pattern, extending from her legs, rules out frame, since frame rarely causes white legs and typically has more well-defined edges. Some people call it "sabino overo" but that isn't accurate since dominant white (depending on who you ask, this may include sabino) and frame are not at the same locus (gene). The other foals from that mare also appear to be dominant white/sabino, possibly in addition to frame, but genetic testing would be needed to tell what variant of dominant white. Note that OP's foal and the past foals of the dam have pointed, tall stockings with well-defined edges--this suggests at least sabino, possibly another form of dominant white.

the pictures make her look lighter than she is. Her barrel and head are the only light places which are almost grey color. Mane is starting to be more white, grey, and black the cream is only on the tips now. Her tail is getting more grey and black in it. Its getting hard to see he blaze on her face :/ kinda sad as she had a pretty face marking. |

There's a university who gene tests. I can't remember where. We've had a lot of our KNNs and appys done. Just pull a few mane hairs (making sure you have the base of the hair) and send it off.
